Kyle Busch makes it look easy in California truck race

Kyle Busch's first win of the year came in the second Gatorade Duel at Daytona. Kyle Busch had no trouble winning Saturday's San Bernardino County 200 NASCAR truck race.

Please Tell me why Kyle Busch was excused from the Driver's meeting for the Nationwide ser. So he could practice with the Sprint cars, and Joey Lagano, who ran the Arca race. He was not excused in Daytona from the driver's meeting for the Bud shoot out and had to start in the rear. What's the deal?

As I understand it, ARCA isn't under NASCAR and the trucks and NATIONWIDE are. Might be wrong, but I think that's it. If he's in ARCA, it's not a NASCAR event so it's the same as if he got back from dinner too late to make the drivers meeting. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are right Missu3. That was the explanation given after Joey was penalized for missing the meeting. It seemed harsh to penalize him for trying to get more experience on a super speedway, but it is consistent w/ some of the strange rulings Nascar makes on a regular basis.

Well occasionally they do not apply to everyone but that is another topic entirely.

The point is not necessarily whether they should enforce rules that they have, but whether the rules make sense in the first place.

I don't like Kyle at all {or his ugly bro} but I agree Jr needs to focus. Too worried about the bar, JRM, beers and tail I guess. I want to see him win but he's gotta get his head in it.
