More like a safe haven for it's cast-offs! Can't cut it in F1? Go race in an American series! At least with NAPCAR you can make good money while you do it.

Scott Speed would be great for the ICS, but he probably cannot compete with the ICS' top 6, which is why he would choose a series that he can make excuses for if he doesn't do well.

I can hear it now: "Ya know, I came to NASCAR with very little tin-roof experience, so these past seven years have been a great learning experience ... maybe next year I can crack the top 10 in a race!"

Considering the way he bad mouthed American open wheel racing and NASCAR I hope he ends up racing monster trucks. He's not the pretty boy squat to pee F1 hero anymore. Now he actually will have to race to pass. Whole new concept vs. the Euro trash expo circuit.

More evidence of the sorry state of American motorsports. A road racer must race stock cars because that's where the sponsor perceives the value is for them?

His last name should be "Slow." He was awful in F1 and was critical of oval racing during an interview last year. If he can't compete in F1, there is no way he can compete with the much better drivers in NASCAR.

The lack of racing knowledge on the board is amazing...

If he comes to any series in America he will just complain about how the car sucks, and that he is the best driver in the series. He is a crybaby.

Glad to see Iowa gets another year on it's IRL commitment. "If you build it they will come..."

Scott Speed needs to go to the IRL. He will do much better in that series than any of the NASCAR series.

If Speed actually goes to NASCAR, I think he needs to imagine what will happen when he is fired. No experience and a lower level team will mean disaster. Sounds like the money is talking, for now.

You should read the goofy posts about public schools. Those six or so people are really way out there.Probably never been to any of the schools they slam or have children that attend any of them. They just listen to corporate talk radio all of the time to get their misinformation.

Typical NASCAR fans responses I see -- uneducated, uninformed, unreliable, and ignorant.
Here is a thought, just maybe some of us enjoy racing that is NOT defined by how much passing happened?
Dump down any sport enough so that "everyone" has a chance -- typical American philosophy -- everyone's a winner! NOT!

Are you people serious? The F-1 drivers are great drivers I'd like to see a Nascar driver try F-1 then you can talk. Better yet ask Jeff Gordon he did. Have you forgotten Tony Stewart came from open wheel is he a cast off. Ya'll are confused I'm sorry I will help lead you right !

OMG Mindy I get these all the time, I report them too. They say to never respond to them because they'll bug you forever. We got to explain to people about these I'm always afraid some old lady will send all her money to them or something.
