The first race I went to several years ago was at Darlington with Dale Sr. winning. It took quite awhile for myself to see and appreciate the talent of the man, but soon was and always will be in my mind and many others the TOP Driver ever to hit a NASCAR track. Throughout my many years as a modern era NASCAR fan, I have seen a few other very talented drivers. Ernie Ervin, Sterling Marling, Rusty Wallace and Tony Stewart. That’s not to say there have not been a lot of other great drivers, but these men seem to become one with the car and track to WIN, with no regards to what corporate sponsors or even fans thought. It was not always pretty, but it`s what molded the sport we call NASCAR racing.

Since the passing of NASCARS greatest driver the sport has been full of whining, corporate crap, fast easy handling cars with any joe blow they decide to put behind the wheel. Speaking of I think I like the new COT because the overpaid race car drivers are finally having to drive again.

Anyway Kyle nor anyone else can never fill the shoes of the Intimidator, but between Kyle and the rest of JGR maybe we can get back to our good ol white knuckle racing roots. And as far as HMS and the other driver and teams falling behind, they need to step up to the plate and drive even if the car is not “perfect’.

“Lead follow or get the hell outta the way!”

Thanks

I see Nascar's new poster boy got another poll. How is it that JGR can accomplish in first year with Toyota that no team last year could do? This makes you wonder if Nascar is now romancing Toyota for the big bucks. Kyle is no comparison to Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He drives way to reckless just to get attention. I like a racer that races hard but clean.

Need a tissue?

Rowdy Busch is a great driver. That some people are all upset and crying over his kick'n ass this year is almost comical.
