Thank God Matt passed Sadler.
That would of been a stinker if Sadler won.
Jr owes NOBODY anything, period! Also, i'd rather seen Sadler win that race, although it would've still be a stinker, it's still a pretty shitty race even with Matt Kenseth won. There are much worse drivers that could've won that race that would of made it more depressing such as Kyle Busch, Casey Mears, or thank god not Brian Vickers, but that is still one of the WORST Daytona races ever ran at the track! I like Sadler and i think he's one of the best guys as far as attitude, and i like Matt Kenseth's attitude as well, but i would rather see Sadler and his Dodge and even though it isnt the Petty team that it once was, i wouldnt have minded to see Richard Petty back visiting victory lane, but i still believe that Sadler will be on the free agent market, as i hope he is, this season and as long as he doesnt do very well, then it makes it more and more likely, as i hope the same for Truex Jr. It's very agressive racing between Vickers and Jr and i havent came out and pointed fingers, however im going to be quick to back Jr up because that mess was started and caused by Vickers stupidity in his actions.

Come on people, its the first race of the year and everyone is rusty. It happens. It happened to be Jr this time and the press is having a field day with it. The more everyone continues to make it an issue the longer it will stay a hot topic. Its time to let it rest and look forward to the next race. ITS RACING and its the "name". Period!!

No, he doesn't owe anyone an apology. It's racing...get over it.

Do any of the other drivers apologize for wrecking the other cars?! Did Brian Vickers say sorry for wrecking Jr. and Jimmie in 06'? Or what about Carl Edwards wrecking half the field in Talladega last year? Seriously, they drive 180 mph, wrecks happen. Deal.

First of all... if you go back and watch the the whole wreck. Jr. was 2 laps down and Vicks was only 1. If Jr. had made the pass, Vickers would have still gotten the "lucky dog", Vickers was to stupid to realize that there was no need to block Jr. to begin with.
Second, if you watch the the way Vickers "tried" to save his car after the bump, you can tell he could have saved it and prevented his car from turn back into the path of the other racers.
I feel like it should be 5% Jr.'s fault and 95% Vickers.

P.S. No I'm not a Dale Jr. fan

JR OWES NOBODY NOTHING!!!!! IT IS NOTHING BUT A MEDIA FRENZY BECAUSE IT IS JR. IF IT HAPPENED FARTHER BACK IN THE PACK, IT WOULDNT BE. JR IS NOT HIS FATHER NOR HAS HE EVER CLAIMED TO BE. HE IS HIS OWN MAN. HE IS NOT A DIRTY DRIVER AND NEVER HAS BEEN. I HAVE SEEN INTERVIEWS WITH JR WHEN HE WAS THE CAUSE OF A WRECK AND HE WAS MAN ENOUGH TO ADMIT IT. HE IS NOT A DIRTY DRIVER LIKE KB,BV AND MANY OTHERS. ME PERSONALY, NICE TO SEE HIM FINALLY BRING OUT HIS EMOTIONS.

Maybe Jr should bake them some muffins, write them a note, and then they can all hold hands and sing Kumbah Yah!

Right .... It is racing. It happens.

Jr: took care of the TV rating. If he keep it up we will be watching "funniest home video" again. I know I flip the channel after he wrecked. Why would you watch after he wrecked half of the damn field. Jr. I hope you can do better in the garage "Whopping Butt" But; if you do that like you drive. I would advise you to stay out of the garage. Damn if you wouldn't get hurt.

All you Junior fans out there sound an awful lot like Bill Elliott fans did back a few years ago. Earnhardt hit me boo hoo. But now it's Vickers hit me boo hoo.
Dale Sr. blocks, gets bumped and it's Marlin's fault. And to those Tony fans chiming in. Tony Stewart blocks (yea, remember Talladega last year???) TWICE, sends a kid below the yellow line and the kid gets penalized all the way back to 18th. I guess Smith should have just punted him huh? I guess that's where Junior got the idea.
A guy in an earlier post said "if Busch would have stayed up front, he wouldn't have even been in the wreck". Ok, what Daytona race did you see?
I believe Junior was a LAP DOWN and Busch was second or third at the time. The same moron said "when Junior passed him for the lead". Yes, you are right, that one pass for the lead netted Junior ONE WHOLE LAP in front before he gave way to Tony and pit stops.
Face it Junior nation. He's not his daddy. He's not even close. He's just not that good.
But he got 18 wins you say?? Boo hoo. Hell dumb assed Busch got 8 last year alone!!!
But again, it was mommy's fault, it's my cousins fault, it's the tires, it's whatever he can blame it on other than himself.
He's had the best equipment his whole career. What's the excuse now? hendrick don't give him enough? Busch won in that car, so did Mears. Yes, Junior won one too. Whoopee. Boo hoo
He just ain't good enough, face it Elliott...oh sorry...Junior nation!

"Whopping"?
Jr. may not be the best driver or the most liked driver after the Daytona 500. but I'd put money on the fact he'd beat you in a spelling contest. LMAO

How many wins you got, thats right 0!!! you get on the track and get more, then you can start your rambling, but I like that you took the time to write all that, shows you care :) as Dale Sr said as long as I get cheers or boos I'm happy, it's silence that worrys me.

I cannot recall many on here saying Jr is his dad. In fact, many are happy that he is not his dad. With that, I agree.

I cannot recall many on here saying Jr is the best driver in NASCAR. In fact, many state that Kyle is better driver than Jr. With that I agree.

What I do hear on this thread and others is fans who like Jr even if the is not the best driver. I hear fans who admit he had a bad Day(tona) and still support him. With that I agree as well.

I don't care if he is in the best equipment or the worst. I don't care if he wins a championship or comes in 12th. I enjoy being a fan of NASCAR and Jr and I (and many others) should not be put down and ridiculed for our choice.

He doesn't owe anyone anything. It's called a racing incident.
So when jr gets a "racing incident" from Vickers this Sunday you won't mind, will you?

If that happens, it won't be no racing incident, if Vickers tries anything, I can bet he will be hit hard either by Nascar or Jr.

Although I place most (but not all) of the blame on Jr's shoulders for the incident.

I am certain he did not intend upon the other cars being involved. He isn't that good.

Funny, I didn't hear him blame anyone else.
