Step in? Kyle still seems to be doing just fine as he is. Not all of the points lost during the season were his fault. If it's mechanical, what's he going to do? He won the truck race yesterday, drove patient today until they got the car right and then went to the front. Great racing by all the guys. NH has always been boring but the last couple of races haven't been bad at all. Great start to the Chase.

Kyle, in all likely hood will win the Nationwide Championship. If he does, you can look for Joe to cut off Kyle's extra-curricular racing to concentrate on the cup program. I would. I'm sure Joe would much rather have a Sprite Cup title than a Nationwide. So would all those sponsors that paid big money to get of the side of the 18 cup car.
