Carl Edwards meant no harm to Brad Keselowski. He just wanted to take the checkered flag that he deserved.

Don't see a problem with it. Change the headline around...Brad Keselowski meant no harm to Carl Edwards. He just wanted to take the checkered flag.....That was the headline at Dega. Glad Brad or no one else was hurt, but think Carl still owes Brad a little more because he didn't get airborne or take out any fans. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Brads dad seems to have the same "all about me" attitude as his son and I haven't heard such a hypocritical bunch of crap since the last election. Congrats Carl, on a great, last lap, anything goes finish.

That's absolute BULLCRAP and anybody who feels otherwise is a moron... no, COMPLETE moron.

After the race that Johnson and Kurt Busch presented to everyone, there's no sense in twisting your understanding of what constitutes as good, fair racing. JJ & KB provided the best example of what's acceptable. You race them the way they race you and nobody needs their car torn up and they DEFINITELY don't need to get parked on the straight coming to the checkers in front of a field that has the sole idea in their head of getting to that line as fast as possible.

Edwards did what nobody else would do. He will pay for that. NASCAR will come down on him. I didn't especially care who won the race but Edwards was wrong. What the 22 did a few laps earlier was just racing side by side. The 22 could have wrecked Edwards then but he didn't drive him into the wall. He let up.

Exactly how I feel. I thought Carl was an excellent roll model and he trashed his rep to play idiot games with Brad. Well I don't mind if he lowers himself to Brad's level but he's interfering with other drivers too. There's a lot of people struggling to get a car in the field and Carl turned Brad into an obstacle and damaged some good cars and engines, and probably cost points to people who weren't even supposed to be involved.

THAT is where Carl dumps his respect - by involving cars who don't have any investment in his stupid little personal grievances.

Awesome finish Carl. Congratulations on the win and don't take any guff for it, Brad tried to dump you earlier and I assure you, he'd have no regrets.

Yeah well, everything is all controversial because there are those of us who aren't fans of either with biased opinion that feel Carl is the biggest problem. He's a Cup veteran who was a good roll model and he's dumping that reputation, whereas Brad is the new kid who has a lot to learn and is doomed to make mistakes. Brad is NOT Carl's equal. He has a lot to gain, Carl has a lot to lose.

Ah but if it were Kyle in Brad's Shoes, You'd be all over Carl. I wish Carl would've tried that crap with Kyle, he'd be stuffed in the wall next race

Remember when they raced hard with some class. That was not a win in my book. To bad Nas is worried about ratings and wants this stuff. The effect on the other drivers is so very sad. Bump and grind is great. OK What would I do? Set the cars up to handle it. They can scuff the wall and the car goes on. Maybe reinforce the area around the tires so they do not get cut so easy. Stick al little bumper out front and rear so the bumping car gets lifted instead of the bumped car. Nasty crash and again a restart. Jeeeees, finish a race already. Just sayin'. Hey AFLAC, guess any media is good media. Class and ass is only two letters apart. I was shakin' my head again.

My opinion..He would have wrecked anybody to win that race. You heard him..it was HIS race. NASCAR has already made the decision that it was just hard racing. Hey, even I can win a race if I just wreck everybody!

not really a roush fan but Carl edwards was my fav out of the roush stable. what he has got away with this year is mind boggling, if nascar doesnt sit him down. i think jack roush should. i can not believe that the sponsors are ok with his actions. yes sure its good for ratings but eventually someone is gonna get killed. nascar needs to to get there head out of there ass. a driver admits to wrecking another driver and nascars statement is that its hard racing. i dont get it.

IF Nascar does nothing to Carl Edwards, someone else will. Big Daddy Nascar better get there inforcement ACT together before other players take it into their own hands.

If I were Roger Penske, I would tell my driver Brad....to not let all this worry you. Just take him out of the " Chase" every chance ya get...wreck where he get no good finish.. and everyone should let all his sponsers know how we all feel about his racing attitudes. Nascar just does not need a driver with this mentality

I think we give the sponsors more credit than they deserve. It's advertising for them..though I hardly think Aflac(insurance???)can be happy with someone wrecking someone on purpose. I honestly believe Carl wasn't suspended last time because the next NW race was the Scotts Turf Builder 300. No way was NASCAR going to suspend the Scott's driver. Carl probably knew that as he had a 156 laps in the garage to think about it. NASCAR will do something about this when he seriously hurts someone.

The main problem with carl..other then being an arrogant jerk.. is he don't know how to pay back.. instead of a little bump he just drives you into the wall... Watch the replay he hit brad so hard he [carl] got out of shape and almost lost it himself..

Considering who Baby Brad's teammate is - you can't expect him to be anything but an a##? Same goes for the teams he has been on in the past.

If you have to have your Daddy whine in front of the camera, maybe it's time to go back to the carcart track!!
