Bobby is much better off going to RCR or any other team for that matter. I have been a big fan of his for a long time and thught it was a mistake when he went over to Petty. I was realy pissed last year when Kyle said he would switch cars with Bobby if Kyle fell out of the top 35 in points. He's was going to use Bobby to make races because he sucks!

It may happen but I don't think so, at least not after the season has already started. I'm hoping moving their shop to the Charlotte area will start paying off in some way for the 43 team. Nothing is going to help the 45 team till the driver is replaced. I love Kyle dearly but he isn't doing anyone any justice staying in that car. Kyle is just a moving target out there these days, a wasted resource. Find some young talent build the teams around them. Hiring the burnt out cast offs from the other teams isn't going to make them competitive again.

Same thing Foyt did then it happened in 1994 he got out of the car and announced his retirement, Tom Carnegie, Foyt himself and everyone was crying. But he should have done it sooner, it's go to be hard and he has no one to pass the torch to, which is really sad!

My mistake wrong date! So I pasted. This is why I like Robby Gordon too :)

Foyt retired from driving Indy cars on May 15, 1993, Pole Day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His decision was as abrupt as it was final.

“Robby Gordon was running my other car and he had crashed several times that week in practice,” said Foyt.“The yellow came out again in that morning warm-up and when I found out it was Robby, I knew I had to make a decision. I couldn’t drive and be the car owner that a young driver needs. So I came back to the garage and told my team that I was going to quit and I did. Tom Carnegie cried the whole time the announcement was made.

Kyle petty might be looking for a ride after next week. If he can't get his car into the top 35 he might swap with Bobby, who has a past champions provisional. If Kyle gets in the 43 car the 43 sticker comes off my truck and Bobby should walk.

I agree that Bobby will stick to the commitment he made ... at least for '08!
