FYI Slander is very hard to prosecute or prove.
I only know this due to so many on here saying what people think are slanderous remarks to others.
Not being a smart azz or trying to butt in, just letting you know.
Quote: From US legal definitions.
Slander is primarily covered under state law, but is subject to First Amendment guarantees of free speech. The scope of constitutional protection extends to statements of opinion on matters of public concern that do not contain or imply a provable factual assertion. If the slander unjustly accused you of a crime or reflected on your profession, the court or jury can assess the damages. For other types of slander you generally must prove some actual damage to be able to recover.
Slander of title is a common law tort involving a disparaging remark regarding ownership of property. It affects the owner's ability to transfer the property, resulting in a monetary loss.
Mr. Breeze has made remarks that lead others to believe that I have been involved in the use of illegal drugs. That is slanderous. I have given him the opportunity to make a retraction, but he continues to insist that this is the truth. I have traced the IP address of the post that he is using as his proof, and it leads back to the ISP with which his posts are associated with. Maybe he needs to read your definition of slander as well. He is not anonymous on here, and neither am I. I have told everyone on here everything about myself, and have proven it. Because of this fact, his remarks are even more slanderous. I am a successful business person in my community, and those kind of remarks could cause me harm. I think he needs to reconsider making a retraction. There are a lot of lawyers around with nothing to do.

what the Texan dude is saying is breeze signed in using the same ISP as him and wrote something about him having perverted sex and then came back on here claiming that it was the Texan that said it ... understand?... whew!
There's no crime but Topix can & should ban him if it's true.

I for one don't believe it. Texasfan is now trying to say he has tracked Breezes IP. I don't believe that either.

I don't believe that this swak id is Texasfan either, but it could be, who knows.

It is one reason why I prefer to reply to those actually logged in with their ids, rather then the non registered ids, except those regulars we know well on here.

I don't mind the odd squabble on here. The odd disagreements make the board interesting, but this night after night crap is getting old, especially those claiming innocence and that they were attacked as newbies.

There are a lot of newbies on here, and many have not been attacked. Only ones attacked are those that came here to start it.

Another post saying bad things about me. You are insinuating that I came on here to start it, that is not true at all.

She can no more track than she can "Bigfoot"!!!

The reason I know swak and the troll are the same id this! How many people are on Topix posting from Tyler, TX? How many have the software to change their ISP, we know she does as she has demonstrated it before! The odds that two users are on the same thread with only 10 posts between them, posting from the same location, have to be astronmical!!! Plus, when I first discovered it, she didn't deny it but went straight into defense mode, claiming I was going to be, who knows, this time!!! Run over by a mail cart, maybe!!!
