One point I agree with Ed on is the points hit a driver takes when an also-ran wrecks him. Why not have a point system within the Chase? Instead of getting 37th place points when an also-ran takes you out, you get 12th place points. It wouldn't hurt so bad and you aren't completely eliminated from the Chase if something bad happens to you, which is about what happens now. Just a thought.
