because you have a need to compensate for your self worth by helping others, by the way, makes you more selfish than the person that simply chooses not to 'give'. come clean, you do it for you not for others. it's ok, you won't explode or anything by admitting to a simple human condition.

some of us are more needy than others and you are one such person. it's ok though.

dumping money on a charity is one way to give. there are many others. and many than are less selfish and self-serving.
