He didn't really seem to have his head in the game(in the pits) so to speak.
He hauled butt and was the Dale Jr I love watching race, after that first pit road incident. Then he was the cause the pile up. No he wasn't angry or spiteful just wasn't all there. We all screw up! He's only human.
Hope he sees things that way and doesn't beat himself up over it.
He said pink was all he saw! A SEA OF PINK SIGNS? lol

I guess they should all have a different color. I wonder who picked all the pink?LOL He had a really bad day, but, all things considered he still did well. He had to keep going down a lap and he kept on coming to the front. I hope he does better next week. How bout my man Tony. Those Hendrick cars he's running are something. He started at the back and finished 8th. And lead the race for a while. Yipeee!

Thanx "lit'l jr", can't remember when I have laughed so much....oops, "lit'l jr" screws up, again, again and again. Then to top it all off, the claasless jerk blames everyone else, and watching the annoucers stammer around trying to make excuses for him is ever more comical. DW changes his story at least 3 times. If you can't run with the big dogs then stay on the porch!!! I just bet the respect, trust and admiration from the other drivers is at an all time high. Way to go, the "real lit'l jr" is showing his true colors. Can't wait for Sunday, I need another good laugh!!!

Jr did not blame everyone else like Vickers did. Maybe you need to watch it again.

He didn't?

Seems to me he blamed BV, the pit signs for all being the same color and the NASCAR rule about pitting on the line.

BV blamed the one who SHOULD be blamed, maybe YOU should watch and listen to it again.

Well some feel that Vickers was at fault, I feel they were both at fault, Jr should have checked up and blended in, and Vickers should not have blocked so aggressively, especially with 77 laps to go.

Yes it does, clearly shows Jr had a big gap, a good push from behind, had a good run, Vickers comes down on him from the middle lane trying to block him; a poor attempt at a block, the ones that usually always cause a wreck to start with. If Jr didnt remotelty haul down to he would of hit hard into Vickers side or quarter panel spinning him anyway, he didnt pass him, he did what nascar asks hauls back in line, only he wasnt quite clear and boom a wreck, thats the nature of plate racing. Case Closed

I am a Jr fan. I am not sad this morning. The sun came up, my healthy, happy sons got up. I have a good job that is safe in this economy. My husband has a great job. My home is paid for, well almost. My cars are paid for.

You see, in the whole scheme of things - a race between people I do not even know that has ZERO effect on my life is merely a pleasant distraction on a boring Sunday afternoon.

If the roles were reversed I would still be upset, but would know it would have been pretty much all Jr's fault for a terrible blocking move, The only blocking that I see that isnt terribly bad is when the leader goes back and forth between the 2 rows behind him up front. However if the roles were reversed I still think Jr would get all the blame just because his last name is Earnhardt.

Jim,
Exactly what is someone supposed to say when asked about missing their pits? The a bunch of signs were pink, he said that......what is the difference between a reason and an excuse?

Evidently YOU need to watch IT again...the only thing that "lit'l immature jr" said was HIS fault was when he totally missed his pit (Tony was counting down the pits, 5,4,3 etc.) "lit'l jr" then said after rambling on and on about the pink pit signs that it was his fault and only then after making a fool out of himself when no one else was having trouble finding their pits. Keep watching, "lit'l jr" is going to have a meltdown soon, cause he and only he is under so much pressure. NASCAR was wrong because he had a tire on the line, the NASCAR official needs to stay behind the wall, no one blocks in plate races, Jeff Burton has no place to question "lit'l jr's" driving, etc.

You are right, he blamed Vickers and in him mind Vickers is at fault. In Vickers mind, Jr is at fault. And who the hell knows what is in NASCAR's mind.
At first, I blamed Jr and after I watched, I see where he is coming from. I still think he was being to agressive on the restart, especially since he was a lap down. He could have been more patient and passed Vickers later. He obviously had a good car. And I think had the weather been favorable and pointing to a 200 lap win, he probably would have been more patient.
So am I making excuses. I still do not understand the difference between offering reasons why something happened and making excuses.
When others offer reasons for their drivers' screw ups it is not called an excuse. I am not trying to pick a fight, just wanting clarification.

I am not gonna make excuses for him. Jr is not immature. He just had an off day. Haven't you ever had an off day working as a circus freak?

I have had off days, and I make my share of mistakes, but I admit to mine, and I don't try to shove the blame elsewhere. He is quit a front man for the Nat'l Guard..NOT!! It is plain to me now why you are an unemployed woman of the night....
