<quoted text>Yes, the worst is that Sam Hornish is in because of the stupid Top 35 rule. The fastest 42 qualifiers should be in the race each week. If you blow up or wreck, too bad, see you next week.
Tell Nascar about it anyone would take it and you know it! The rule sucks it's not Hornish fault so tell Nascar they made the rule! You don't like open wheelers because you're a troll on the next thread you wont like Nascar.

I'm not so sure it was such a smart move. KB already has to use 1 of his provisionals as he could not race his way in. His cars haven't been looking too good. What happens when SH doesn't stay in the top 35 after the 1st 5 races and KB has all kinds of trouble (like he has been). They could both see themselves out of the top 35.

I certainly see where your coming from.
On another note I am not crazy about all the driver's from cup running busch all these years. I know they do it to fill the stands. But it hurts all the young up coming drivers to show their stuff. Have a great day catch you later!

I think sponsors are mostly to blame for this too. Small Company that cant afford the cost to get on a cup car can sponsor that guy in a busch race for cheaper dollars. Sponsors will throw money at proven talent but not take a chance on someone else.

We just bought our tickets and Hotel rooms for the Oct LMS races, We got front strectch parking, 4-Bank of America 500 seats,4-Seats for BOJangles pole night, 4 Dollar general 300 seats, All for $778 the seats are in grand stand GM sec E at the start-finish line, row 20! The hotel is 4 nights 5 days, I won't mention the brand name But it is 15 mins from the track on a avg day, for $672.00, Now granted I'll have to pay for gasoline ($$$$) our share of the food and beer, Keep in mind this is for four people, 2 rooms! BUT I'm still under $1000.00 my share, after I go back to Raceworld! Did you ever think it may be the location?
I'll be camping for 5 days in Talladega for the 7th year in April. That takes a couple of weeks to get back to normal. All for less than $500.00.

Yeah, We were considering camping in the infield at LMS, maybe we should look at Taladega for 09? Is your price just camping? Or if you don't mind my asking what does that include?

Snow, I am with you on this one. I think giving Hornish the points Kurt and his team earned is BS. I hate Kurt, but this is stupid. Make Hornish come in and EARN his own points. He's not a damn champion. He doesn't have the right to those champion points. I do see what Terry is saying but think about this, what if, Hornish just sucks SO badly over the first 5 races, and Kurt continues to have the problems he's had. Kurt uses all his PCPs, and Hornish has now wasted Kurt's points from last year and is out of the top 35. Then what? Roger is stuck in the same place Michael was last year. I honestly think Michael and Reut are going to slam their way into the top 35 this year easily. That means two people are going to have to drop out. I say it's the open wheelers......... or most likely Rubby. Kurt's a dirty driver, so he'll wreck people along the way to ensure his place in the top 35.

Camping outside turn one is $85.00 for the week. Tickets are $60.00 which includes the Busch race on Saturday. The rest is gas, food and liquid refreshments. Only a 5 minute walk to the track.

He's got to be careful. He's on probation for 6 races. He won't be able to get too dirty or he'll chance getting parked.

A big THANK YOU! We will check this out for 09 season, We're already over budget for this year and Racertainment, We are goin to the 1st Michigan race, shorter drive for us, but we take a bus load of people, food, beer. pop tents, etc... My daughter lives about 15 min walk from the track, as a matter of fact they charge people to park, If you've been up there you will know the road I'm talking about! She always hides us from the "real" guests! But she does admit we a fun to watch!

You just reminded me of something. When I was young and beautiful and in college, they took us to the Kentucky Derby. I remember that the folks who live near Churchill Downs had signs in their front yards offering their yard for parking, but to pay just about $3. This was a long time ago. Ha, I remember my girlfriend from Indiana telling me that folks from Kentucky are not too bright. I asked her why she thought that. She said, getta load of the sign and when I looked at it, it said, "Park Hear."

Been to Michigan. Camped across from the track. Traffic was a nightmare leaving. You'll enjoy Talladega, it's a serious 5 day party.

They presell all thier spots on the internet! And send out it was orange this year parking papers you put in your front window! Always sells out, the county they live in only lets them camp a small amount of people, compared to the parking! "Park Hear" my have been a eye catcher to help sell the spots!
