It's a shame the 21 car got tangled up in the lap 45 wreck.
I believe that Fat Back and Bill had a top 10 car.
Bill loves the Brickyard and has always been fast there.
I remember when Nascar did a tire test at Indy two years before the first race, and Bill was by far the fastest in the No. 11 Bud car.

Bill is a once great, over the hill driver in a non-competitive car. As much as I'd hate to see it happen, the Woods brothers will probably fold their Cup operation in the next couple of years. Jon is never going to be competitive at Cup level and sponsorship for the team is nearing its end. I'd bet that withing 3 years they will be operating as a truck team or out business. Small operations like theirs is doomed.

I agree that the 21 team has a lot to be desired but you put bill elliott in a race winning position and he can still win races and 99.9% of
the time bring your piece back with all the fenders on it and that my friend is real racing

It's amazing what happens when you put a first rate veteran in a Crap car. Bill is very,very close to the end of his career, we all know that. But, if Bill had the top car through out his career like Tony, J.Gordon, Kyle Busch, Jimmie J, Dale Sr. etc. his record would be by far even more impressive. This guy can flat out drive.
