I totally agree with you. I remember the whole thing, No Pass! Earnhardt was just being himself. Elliott and G. Bodine both had better cars than Dale.
Earnhardt won half of his races by being an a........

I've been to a lot of short tracks dirt and tar and not one track allows passing in the grass or ruff. Why Earnhardt was allowed to get away with that i'll never know. Ill bet if rules were applied to Dales wins he would lose one third of his wins.

Bill was actually tired of Dale's blocking and cutting him off, so bill paid him back by puting the bumper to Dale and when dale went sliding through the grass Bill could have drove right on by but dale was sliding out of control back out onto the front straightaway, so bill lifted to keep from taking the both of them out of the race, afterwards dale cut bills tire down for him, costing bill the race. Bill was the better driver and had the better car, the difference was Dale turn to a dirty way to win in other words, he cheated to win, Dale was a dirty driver to alot of people bottom line.

Maybe if Elliott was is the same situation as The Big E he would of had the better stats. I mean same team, car owner, etc. Bill had a family team, Harry Melling, Junior J, Charles Hardy, Himself, Ray Evernham.... and so on.
Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart have great stats and the same team just like Earnhardt. I guess we'll never know.
