Would Tony Stewart consider jumping to IndyCar?

Categories: NASCAR Sprint Cup AP Photo Tony Stewart won an Indy Racing League championship in 1997 before joining NASCAR.

Ok this got me really excited, I don't think he'll do it but I sure wish he would.

(A few paragraphs I took from the article I agree with :)

IndyCar sure would get a boost from the addition of someone such as Stewart, and Stewart needs IndyCar. It is the only series that could give him what he wants most.

Eddie Cheever once described the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a living, breathing organism.

It just might be able to whisper, too, because I'm thinking it is calling out to Stewart, trying to lure NASCAR's most polarizing figure back to its facility for the world's most prestigious race.

IRL might need Tony, but Tony does not need the IRL.

Tony has found his nitch here in NASCAR and NASCAR is where he will stay.

He very well might end his relationship with Gibbs Racing just so that he can become a car owner. And rest assure, that if he does become a car owner, he will surround himself with the best in the business.

And his teams will be successful. Shoot even his teammate Denny Hamlin said that he would drive for Smoke.

This is going to be very interesting to watch this all playout. Tony no matter what you deide you will always be my driver!!!

But Tony likes Indycar and the IRL. He's never said it wont happen. He cares about open wheel that wont change. As an owner he could do whatever league he wanted and whatever races he wanted. Such as Indy 500! I'd like to see him at Indy. Now the problem with that is that Indycar doesn't have Chevys and if that's what he's aiming for it wont happen. When he shoots it down completely then I'll say it wont happen he hasn't said that yet. He does need Indy he needs that Indy win! That doesn't leave someone as easy as one would think. It's a dream they have.

What should happen is the start time for Indy should change so drivers like Stewart and R. Gordon can run both races that day.
