Just wondering: How fast would these cars go without restrictor...

Yah I'm not a big fan of restirctor plates, but I think we would easily see 245+ inrace. Right now I think we go from low 180's to mid 190's in a draft. Heres a solution! How about a chicane on the back stretch. heheheh. Just kidding. As much as I dislike RP's they are neccesary for fan safty. I really dont care about the drivers. They get paid too much as is.

I remember back in the mid 80s Road & Track magazine did a test with the Hendricks Motorsports #25 car (not sure if it was Tim Richmond or Ken Schrader at the time) and they did some additional prep on the car such as extra taping and pushed it upwards of 230 mph and that was in the old stock bodied Monte Carlo SS not the slope nosed cars that are being phased out this year.
