In part-time gig, Hornish will give his all to revive NASCAR career
A good showing in Nationwide Series could aid Sam Hornish Jr.'s 2012 hopes. If this is to be Sam Hornish Jr.'s final year in NASCAR, he will keep his hands on the steering wheel, racing for all he can get.

I think Hornish is to laid back to be able to attract sponsors. Sponsors want someone that is in the press all the time. Someone that attracts attention. He doesn't shoot his mouth off, doesn't critize anyone and doesn't seem to shy away from the action.

I have to give Sam credit though for sticking it out and trying to be successful in NASCAR. Other open wheel types have tried, failed and bailed. AJ Almendinger has done well so it can be done. But I agree with barr, Sam is pretty laid back. But in an open wheel car, he was fearless and would go wheel to wheel with anybody. He was a thrill to watch.

I agree he can wheel that Indy car around. I was hoping he could have done better in NASCAR. He is kind of a local guy for me.

Where are you from barr? I'm from the Dayton area but living in California the last 10 years. I've been to Definace where Sam's from on several occassions. My daughter's boyfriend played football at Defiance.
