What happens if he doesn't do either? Will Nascar change the rules for the chosen one? Maybe Jr should let Kyle B race the 88 in the Showdown? At least this way, Jr. stands a better chance of advancing.

Other than being the fan favorite, how is Jr the 'chosen one'? Has Nascar ever changed the rules just for him? If so, please provide us the proof.

This is racing competition, if I want to know who the best fighter is I watch a boxing match. There are no points earned or money made by a nascar driver who throws the best punch. Just the opposite actually.

Maybe Harvick can fix that ugly face for Kyle. Kyle needs to go the route of his brother and get some plastic surgery.

A disability may hinder a drivers ability, but the last time I checked ugly had no bearing on race results and if you think physical appearance has anything to do with a race car drivers performance than look for ugly in victory lane for many years to come.

Just my opinion. I believe nascar wanted Jr. to win that race because he was in the number three car. It had to be a nationwide race because there are too many drivers in the cup series who would never agree to intentionally let another driver win.#1 It was obvious that Logano had the better car and chose to ride right on Jr's rear bumper never attemting to pass or even challenge Jr.for the win. First time I have ever seen that in a plate race.#2 Busch rather than do the same as Logano went into the pits with less than 10 laps to go because there is no way that he would sit behind another car and not go for the win so he took himself out of contention.#3 Jr. hadn't won any race in such a long time and didn't do a burnout, victory lap or any other type of celebration after crossing the checkered for the faithful fans who have been waiting for a win. He used the lame excuse that he didn't want to tear up the car. I watched his post race interview and there was no excitement or emotion over the win. Again, just my opinion, which I believe Im entitled to even when discussing Jr.

You certainly are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. But I think your way off, not todays NASCAR, there is too much for them to lose now. I remember Jrs celebration, he seemed pretty tore up to win with his Dads number. I have seen Jr decline the burnout more times than this one. And as far as Busch, who knows what his deal was. Although..........Back in the 50s and 60s there was a driver named Johnny "Wynn" Lawrence. He was a regular on the NASCAR circuit. In his book the Real Secrets of NASCAR he claims that all those wins Richard Petty has were fixed. Folks wanted King Richard to win and NASCAR gave it to them to help sell tickets. Get the book, its on Amazon, decide for yourself.

Wendell Scott lost at least one and probably more to the King too.

What about Junior Johnson, DW, and Childress crying that the Elliotts were cheating in the mid 80's. You know the Ford has to raise its roof line with the GMs lowered theirs. Then the Monte Carlo AREO coupe and Gran Prix AREO coupe hits the track. Why? because Junior and DW were crying.

Guys, I have seen a lot. I have been a fan of NASCAR almost since its inception, not quite but nearly. I have often questioned NASCARs integrity, but who hasnt? But you got to remember one thing. this sport was birthed by some of the meanest and honery yahoos you ever seen. Hell they were all but a few of them ridgerunners. they run moonshine, learning to cheat was part of the game when they prepared their cars for a likker run or a Sunday afternoon race. So cheating is just a part of NASCARs history but they keep it hid and silent. Cant blame them, they want to survive as a business that makes plenty of damn money. In the book I mentioned in another post, Johnny Lawrence refers to NASCAR as meaning........National Association of Stealing Cash from Auto Racers. The promoters used to duck out before the races were over and take the teal with them. NASCAR regulated this when it took over as governing body but continued to find ways not to pay the racers. there is a dark side to NASCAR, but we will never know the extent of it. they have that crap hidden deep in a hole where it wont be found. But if they want someone to win, it will happen. So as far as the case of NASCAR helping JR, naw, he would have way more wins than he does if THEY wanted him in victory lane. They control the shots, if they wanted Jr in Victory Lane he would be there, but unfortunatley he aint. So that blows that theroy out of the fish tank. NASCARs crooked, everybody knows that, If they are helping anybody it aint Jr, cause he aint winnin, bless his heart!!

I didn't say that, but I have never heard of a boxer losing a fight and going out afterwards and wrecking the other boxers car.

Fraud? When has Jr never been the favorite to win based on his ability to draft, most likely because he caught a tip from ol' dad back in the day that's stuck with him ever since? He's the son of the greatest draft man there ever was, and it's not merely coincidence that he's probably 2nd best only to Dale Sr.

Fraud my ass. Speculatory BS is all that is. Every success Jr has is just welcome invitation for some idiot hater to say there was cheating involved. It's in the books, and you can't deal with that so you say it wasn't legal. lol what a load of horse crap...

Would that tip he caught from ol' dad be in the form of an over size restrictor plate?
