If Jr wanted to drive the #8 he could have made it work. Jr's greed and spoiled brat act tore DEI apart. Don't blame Teresa, it's all Jr's fault.
As for Old Dale racing for one team and owning one he competes against is rediculous and (WWE)NASCAR should never allowed it. In the end it did old Dale in.

Teresa should have kept her mouth shut instead of speaking out about all the things Jr was doing. I guess she was shacked up on the yhat with Menard and Jr never exposed what she was doing...I am thrilled he left and took the rights to his name with him. He had to fight hard to get that. She thought she would always grab that money from his sales. She got showed NO WAY on that one. Now she is merging and Merging to just to make it to the track. Two merges since Jr left. She owes Hendrick a load of money and don't want to pay up. Hope he wins that court battle also.

Well, things worked out on Junior's end. I am sorry that his dad's company is going down the tank, but everyone said this is what would happen. She chose to bury her head in the sand and now, I doubt that Junior would even want to purchase what is left of DEI. It's sad.

Jr. was the heart and soul of DEI after Sr's death and she basically shoved him out the door. I know it was his decision to leave but only after she refused to sell him his rightful part of it. I hate to see DEI go down in flames and I'm sure Jr. does too but The Wicked Witch brought it on herself.

I guess Chip will find out he jumped in the frying pan if they can't cough up some sponsors.I look for Childers to bail next with the engine deal. She needs to pay her debt to Hendrick for the contract that was signed during her first merger with Ginn racing.I hear the interest keeps climbing.......

You people are truly amazing (not in a good way). Let's play devil's advocate for a minute. Let's say that Jr. is still at DEI driving the #8 (no ownership, just a driver). Would Budweiser still be his sponsor? Probably. Would Jr. still be running about the same as he was before? Probably. Would his stats and standings mean anything in conjunction with him keeping or losing sponsors? Probably not. So would that have anything do to with Teresa being a good or bad owner? NO! Fact is, Jr. could go to any team, drive any car and get just about any sponsor. Why? It's all in a name. So to all of you who blame Teresa should be blaming Jr. With his departure, the only that really mattered to DEI left, his name. Jr. wanted 51% of a company where he only deserved 25% of. It has been stated many times on here that Dale built DEI for his kids, not Jr. and the other three, but all his kids. Jr. wanting 51% proves he was out for one thing, himself. I know I'll hear things like "Jr. deserves more because he's done more for the company". Statements like that are lame so save it. Jr. leaving and the tailspin of DEI go to two factors. The economy and Jr.(Earnhardt) leaving. Fact is Jr. wanted more than he deserved so he left. So if you want to get out your torches and pitch forks and throw blame, look no further than Jr.

I dont think he deserved more of it because of that, but he did/does deserve his share. The only blame I can throw at Jr. is that he should have worked on Teresa a little longer. I think if he had, he would have his share of the company. I think he finally saw that she was power hungry and greedy with the money and he wasnt gonna get his cut. Jr. shouldn't be blamed for the inevitable demise of DEI. That is all on Miss Power Hog.

So what does deserving the company have to do with anything? he made an offer and she denied it that was her choice.

Wonder how much she got out of 2 merges now Chip has his name tacked on to everything. It's not just DEI anymore. Jr wanted 51% so he would have some control but she would not sell it to him. He was having to take his cars over to his Jr Motorsports shop to do some of the work on them. She was not spending the money for things that was needed .She then merged with Ginn and he had what was need to take care of the cars. I was told 2 weeks ago her shop now looks like a ghost town. I just don't care anymore heck she can park it in her house and sleep inside it for all I care...

Who knows what she got out of the deal,I do think its sad that DEI has come down to not having sponsorship and having to park the #8 but thats the way business and life goes. She made her decision and Jr made his and now they both have to just deal with what they have now. I don't know what went down with Jr and Threasa but my opinion is they both let there personal feelings get in the way of something that should have been just another business deal.
