I think Larry Mac said it best.

[DEI needed a little help after this season, and so did Ganassi Racing.
I've always had a motto, "There is no one smarter than all of us thinking and working together — as long as we are thinking and working together."
I'm sure what Dale Earnhardt would want. I know that he would want what's best for DEI and his family. If that means merging, auctioning everything off, closing the doors and letting dust collect — whatever. He would want whatever is best for the team and his family, which for the most part at DEI are Teresa and his youngest daughter Taylor.]
Will it work? Who knows but seeing go under was something I didn't want to see and that was the next step.
