Should Dale Earnhardt Inc. put him in the No. 8 car full-time? Joe Menzer: And put Mark Martin out to pasture? I think it's premature.

Maybe Petty should go but Mark is still competitive.

Petty should have went 6 years ago....
I would do whatever it takes to keep Mark around the team, hasn't been a true leader there since Sr tipped over.

Even Superman got tired after a while. Richard Petty ran 10 years too many, Kyle Petty is at 8 overdue, Front Row Joe and Sterling are toast, Mark doesn't have another win in him. Driving a racecar is just as addictive as any drug. You want to do, you need to do it, you have to do it but when you're playing in a sport for 25 year olds and you're fifty it gets really tough.
