Gillette is absolutely an idiot to replace Sadler with AJ! I thought he was a moron to replace Scott Riggs with Patrick Carpentier, and now this! I think this is absurd that guys like Sadler and Bobby are here now getting let go when all the decent rides are gone. As Bobby was a perfect fit for RCR, i think Sadler would've been in either the 12 car for Penske or i think he would've really shown his true talent to take over the 20 car. I hope he gets a really good ride, but i dont know where. Ive heard rumors that Bass Pro Shops is still looking for an out of their contract with Earnhardt, and that they and Truex could end up at Stewart Haas still, although Stewart said he'd rather not start a third team at least this year, and according to this story, sponsors are not happy with the change and are considering leaving, possibly with Sadler, and i think if EGR was smart, they'd not only hire Bobby, they'd hire Sadler too. Plus, Amirola still doesnt have sponsor for the 8 car and if Sadler did, they need to consider him. And also, there were rumors of a possible replacement of Truex in the 20 instead of Logano to give Logano more time to get experienced, i'd like to see that happen except with Sadler replacing Logano.

I dont think Gillette is stupid, unfortunately I think he is being smart. Why??? Because although I do not care for AJ he has the fire and the passion. Elliott has had his head in the wrong place for a while. He has not been on the job for a bit. I said long ago begining of the end. Lucrative deals on the table with who? I wonder, someone who has not had to put up with the bullshit yet? Give her a couple of appearences and she will piss them off too.

Sadler hasn't had the fire for years. He is all about the glitter and looking good on TV, a side show act. The gravy train appears to be over and E has not only been taking advantage of his owners for millions, he has forgot his true fans too! There is something more to this whole story. Only time will tell

Im suprised by so much dislike and hatred for Sadler. Granted, i didnt care at all for Dale Sr's wife, but i still pulled for him when he raced and wished him success, but everyone on the other blog has been ripping him simply for his girlfriend, which i have heard nothing about until today so i dont pay much attention to driver's wives, they to me are nothing more than props. Second off, i think Sadler still has that drive, he just has had inferior equipment to drive for years. He's the only driver to get Yates make the Chase system back in 2004 in their last real shot of competing for the championships, where yes AJ has potential, but really havent seen him there at the end of a race competiting for the win, ever, so i still dont think he'll be a better option than Elliott. Sadler had alot of people after him, from what i heard, has been after Sadler and he's a sought after driver.

Looking at the rides out there, id love to see Elliott back next year, but i dont like what's out there. I think it's a sure lock that Bobby will get the 41 ride and that's the last fully sponsored ride that i know of. I know that the 43 and the 22 are in the top 35 in owner points and are working it out to run next year, but i dont want to see Sadler in either one of those rides cause they will not run very well. Even if the 43 is merged into the GEM stable, i still dont think it will be a great ride, but for what's out there it'd probably be the best option. I didnt read that Sadler was fired, he's just been replace in the 19 car. Maybe they are considering giving him the recognition of the 43 number and he may take his sponsors over there.

I don't think a lot of us want bad things for Elliott. We just happen to have know him from his days at South Boston and when he started in Nascar. He has just lost focus of racing, fans and his friends. It seems to be the company he is keeping lately. I know his personal life is just that (his personal business) however myself and many think it has finally caught up with him. I have been an Elliott fan for years. This is what a lot of us thought would happen to him and it is very sad.

Yes Ray's
big mistaken was hooking up with Erin and then dumping his family. He had to pay the price and I am sure it did not come cheap. He has bought a small race track and I guess he thinks now Erin can finally race some again. Guess time will tell........

Its sad because a couple years ago with Kasey winning all those races the team was a good place to be. Gillette is a business man. This is what happens when the little head thinks for the big head.

Hey there Katie. Long time no talk to, hehe. Come to chat tonight if you can again.

If Elliot doesn't find a ride I hope he goes to one of the Nascar shows I could listen to him talk and gawk at him for hours.

This article lines the whole deal out pretty good. I wonder if this was the lady that used to mod his fan club a few years back? She sure does know alot of the Sadler background and opines it well.

It must be nice to be Kyle Busch and be talented and not have to worry about getting rides or getting fired. It doesn't matter if you can keep your car on the track if you can't finish the race in first place you not a racer. Both can't drive!
