How did you enjoy the Michigan race?. Did you find there was a lot of hard racing going on?. That is why I like Nascar for the variety of tracks. Michigan is not that far from me - so that might be one I would consider going to.
Michigan is too short watching it live as some races can finish within about 2.5 hours. The field gets spread out. You can tell which driver as the best car by the speeds going down the backstraight. I wouldn't say it's hard racing but it's good.

Yes Junior is definately feeling the pressure even though he might not admit it - you can see it in his body language post race. He will win though & I mean a points race. He is already doing a lot better in comparison to last year. However he now needs to let go of the comfort level & take a few chances - & no I don't mean cheat in case anyone is wondering!?.
Jr's playing it safe until he is sure he is in the chase. I think once that spot is secure he will start pushing a bit harder. He said last week he's not concerned about winning a race, he wants the championship. He can't go for a championship if he's not in the chase. I'm sure towards the end of the summer you'll see him much more aggressive just like yesterday when he was bound and determined not to let JB pass him for 4th.

That sounds alot like the Texas race, when they are all spread out,but I kinda like the hard racing.

i think racing should stay at Pocono. During the pre race the drivers were saying they liked the race " It was their favorite track" some said. The summer isn't going to get any cooler. There are longer, boring races at other tracks. Bruton Smith is probablylovingthis negative press so he can get Nascar to change race dates. if I were a New Hampshire fan I'd be sending Nascar letters to make sure they don't lose any of their races from the New Hampshire track.

Bruton Smith is trying to strong arm NASCAR into giving him everything he wants. He keeps buying all the independent tracks and tries to push the schedule the way he wants it. I'm glad they wouldn't sell him Pocono but I do hope they will listen to the drivers and at least re-pave it.

Well I have been to Michigan, Charlotte, Atlanta, Pocono and Daytona. Just try watching one in person.
I have been to Pocono once and Daytona over 40 times. I agree that Pocono is a better race when you watch it in person. It is no comparison to Daytona of course but there aren't many tracks that are.

I'm glad Juan wasn't hurt. But I'm really pissed at those safety workers for not getting there quicker than they should.

I am a Dale jr fan but some times i look at jr and think how out of shape he is and if he was in good shape maybe he cuold muscle that car a little harder towards the end of the race and win one for a change.

pocono is long, boring, and no passing. 1 of their 2 races should definetly go to kentucky or vegas or somewhere, anywhere but pocono

Well, The COT is made for younger drivers, however who are we to judge what shape he is in? People these days have a tendency to judge us for whatever size we are. Jr will get a win, You should be happy how well he is running so far.

Jr looked plum exhausted as well. I agree with what Jimmy Spencer said on Victory Lane the race is too damn long and Pocono is not very exciting. It should lose a race to Kentucky.
Sounds like a plan to me.

The only comparison is bad wrecks, high speed, and they are both 2.5 miles.

The Rolex 24 is a good race to watch in person.

I agree. I think some people confuse attractive and slim with being in shape. All drivers struggle with conditions from time to time. I think being in optimum physical condition would give a drive an advantage over a competitor who is struggling with the heat and exhaustion.

NASCAR likes to call itself a sport. If drivers treated their bodies as other athletes, I think they are more successful. If a driver choses to not prepare his body, then he must accept the result of this action.

Does this mean an out of shape driver cannot win, no it does not.

I agree with you. I think only Jr knows how out of shape he is in, maybe a little too much whisky river, Too many Big Mos, who knows. This COT was built for the younger, in shape drivers like CE.
