The real story is that #16...the BIFF scored another top 5 and moved closer to the top spot. Don't rest on the BIFF this year!

For cryin' out loud Debi ... you sure make it difficult for anybody to try and stick up for you! I know that Tony got the shaft this weekend, and that sucks ... for you! But is it possible for you to EVER see anything but orange? Actually, that probably was to blame this weekend huh ... Jeff Burton drives an orange car too! I think it would be nice of you to give credit where credit is do at some point this season (to somebody OTHER than Tony I mean).

Are you going to bid on some of Tony's back hair when they auction it off too? Sorry Debi, but you are intolerable sometimes, your undying devotion To Tony is admirable AND nauseating at the same time - but you know that already I suppose!

I guess that I am like the usual sports fan who likes sports that include only 2 teams playing against each other.. every single race I watch Tony and I think that he is the best and that if nothing horrendous happens to him , he will win. I understand that some people like the other drivers, for some reason... I cannot figure out why yet,, they are nice guys??? I do not know.. but when a driver like Tony is the threat to the entire field each and every race, which he is.. by the way, I think that anyone who watches the sport should acknowledge that...is it like people hating the Patriots? they are the best so people want anyone else to win? is that why people do not root for Smoke, because he is hands down the best? yup..well, I prouldy root for the best driver each week because it is crap like late cautions that defeat him at short tracks almost every time..I can't help it that he is the best.... why is it that Jr fans can expect him to win each week? and Jr expects himself to be able to come from 5th to first at the end for some reason??? I don't know.. my driver has the best team and the best equipment and he is the best driver.. so I am not out of line.. and I do not care if you think I am horrid for not being happy that Jeff Burton lucked out and got a win...too bad.. I don't think racing is a crap shoot.. I think the dominant car should win..and that would be the 20 car

Okay Debi - I see where you are coming from, but if in fact the best driver coupled with the best team was in fact the #20 ... he'd win every time - and that's not happening - the Patriots went undefeated for the entire season - except the one that counted, so your analogy is perfect, as Smoke was awesome until the last lap - you know, the one that counts! Don't even say it, as I know you will blame Happy Harvick, and if I were in your shoes, I would too, but ... oh never mind - you STILL won't even listen!

I just LOVE how because the only lap that counts in NASCAR is the last makes it so that the dominant car and driver who did not lead that last lap for any reason were not the best in some fans eyes... I just think that is funny.. how many times have you seen Tony dominate a race to have a late caution tighten up the field and pit strategy screwed him because everyone else did the opposite? too many to count for me because I am his fan and focus on him.. you might not have noticed, because you focus on someone else, how often Tony dominates a race to lose it to a late caution.. if it had been your driver all those many times, you would be saying the same things that I say...racing is the only sport that it does not matter how well you performed in the early stages of a "game".. if you lead every lap but the last, the history books say that you lost... is the last touchdown the only one that matters in football? or is the last basket the only one that counts in Basketball? no... NASCAR needs to give more points to the guy who led over 100 laps in each race.. there might be multiple guys.. they deserve to be given rewards for their RACING the entire DAY!

Did you ever think that the driver who wins is the best?? Maybe their strategy is to save the car until it counts. Running full out the whole race will play havoc on any car. The smart driver save a little for the end & that makes them smart & yes sometimes the best driver for that race.

no, I was at the Daytona 500 last year when Harvick won because all the good cars were crashed out and I was there this year when Kyle would not give Tony the push that would put him over the finish line.. I have seen many races where late cautions have tightened up the field and the best car was forced to maintain track position and so was overtaken by newer tires and I have seen where the best car all day went in for tires and could not get back through traffic to get his lead back.. it is actually rare that the best cars wins... proof is how infrequently a dominant car crosses the finish line first and your question shows that you might be the latter fan listed in the other thread about which fans are best. How many times have you actually heard the driver say that he did not have the best car??? that would be very often if you listen

Sorry, but I didn't read the article. Didn't have to because I watched the race.If Harvick hadn't ran Stewart up the track both Gibb cars would have had nice spot's in the final stats.Tony didn't have the car to get by Denny butat least chevy finally got their 123 win.wasn't that a great race without having to hear DW's mouth all day?

yes, there are many race fans who like to see the guy who would have won almost all the time get overtaken by one of the other drivers.. that is called jeolousy.. it is nice that Tony fullfills so many other men's problems in life by giving them someone to be so jeolous of..maybe you need to see a psychiatrist about your envy.

Oh Debi, I must admit, your devotion is unflappable, but ludicrous! Points are points, laps are laps, a win is a win ... all of these things are based on rules written BEFORE an event ever happens ... therefore, Tony's three stints at Bristol as lap leader don't mean SQUAT unless he leads the last one - which he has failed to do in the Spring Bristol race MANY times.

Ever hear of a last minute field goal? A clutch hail mary pass (or basket for that matter)? An empty net goal? Oh yeah, a green white checker too! C'mon, you can't HONESTLY believe the stuff you type, as it is just plain stupid! Is Tony a GOOD driver ... probably. Is Tony the BEST driver ... not by a long shot! Who is the best driver? I don't care ... I don't get a vote, and neither do you! You have made it (PAINFULLY I MIGHT ADD) clear that you are a Tony Stewart fan, and there is nothing wrong with that, BUT ... every body IS out to get him, and you too by association I suppose. ROFLMFAO

Andy, are you sooo broken hearted that Jeff and Jimmie had such dismal days??? you poor thing...I am glad my driver never sucks that bad. Guess NASCAR figured out how HMS was cheating and put an end to it...maybe Jeff should retire.

and for those of you who think that it is good for late cautions to put drivers in the situation that Tony was put in yesterday, I know that your drivers might need that kind of help and so I understand why you think it is good.. but I would bet you that part of the reason Tony would be upset after yesterday was because he raced sooo good yesterday.. he was perfect.. he worked through all that traffic all day long and did not ruin his car. He had patience, he was perfect and the only way that he could have lost was the late caution with whatever pit strategy that he chose.. and to those of you who have not ever had your guy lead a race when this happens.. it sucks...there are many of you whose drivers have never been in this situation because they in your opinion "save their good stuff for the end" when in reality what you do not realize is that if it were not for that late caution, your driver would not have ever caught Tony Stewart...
