No, NASCAR doesn't need to change a rule just because JImmie lost a race.

The restart rules are unclear enough that NASCAR only feels comfortable penalizing the most egregious faults. Instead, the rule should be cut and dry. So yes, the restart rules need to be changed. Install starting lights like drag races. If you get red-lighted, you move back 10 spots.

Made me laugh when I heard Johnson's explanation. He never slowed one iota.

Can you imagine the chaos that would have occurred if Johnson stopped and waited for Montoya to catch up? What a disaster that would have been.

Face it Johnson fans, he jumped the restart. If the 3rd place car had kept up with JJ, then you could have said Montoya had a problem. Instead, this was all JJ. He was out of the box and showed no slowing down. Nascar got it right and for once JJ didn't win in an appeal. Get over it and move on. The restarts are just fine.

I think some things just need to be left alone. Every rule & circumstance needs to be treated equally. I never paid much attention to the politics of Nascar until the Chase came about because of Matt Kenseth winning the championship in 2003 with only 1 victory. Since then it just seems like there has been nothing but debate ever since on ANY issue that comes about involving certain drivers.
