Hey Bloomington..... you got it right! I am a big #20 fan too. Sure, he is a hot head. So was A.J.Foyt...... but what a race car driver. The guy could drive anything with 4 wheels, and excell at it. Tony is in the some mold. He adds a little excitement to NASCAR. I don't want to see a field of NASCAR "clones of Jimmy Johnson's personality". He puts me to sleep.

Tony does have a new look...a mullet and about 100 extra pounds! I guess we will not see any new Subway commercials with Tony.

I am so glad to see Johnson and the 48 crew dominate Tony and the Home Depot team. Tony is an idiot and is disrespectful in how he treats media, fans and other drivers.

For somebody that is a great driver, he causes a lot of wrecks. Tony lets his temper get to him and he then crashes people. That is why he will never be a Gordon or Johnson. They have the ability to stay calmer and are mature enough to control their emotions.

Oh well, NASCAR is becoming very boring and Tony does bring childish drama to the sport. I guess he was right when he said it is becoming WWF. He is a lot of the blame for it.

What surprises me is how Gibbs can't control Tony and teach him right from wrong. Gibbs racing said they could not have Budweiser as their sponsor due to moral issues. Ok, but Tony hitting people and treating people poorly is fine? I think Budweiser would offer better morals then Tony every could offer Gibbs.

You obviously don't understand NASCAR racing. It is all about emotion and wearing it on your sleeve. You tell me what Tony did wrong Friday night. He either slows down and gets run over, or he tries to get past Busch who tries to block him twice (in PRACTICE) and ends up in the wall. Then comes back and hits Tony three times. There are things Smoke has done in the past that he shouldn't have, no question, but he brings more to NASCAR (true NASCAR) than Johnson or Gordon combined ever will. So just sit back drink some Jeff Gordon wine and suck on your Jimmie Johnson pacifier and enjoy the race.

Somewhere within the last 24 hours, somehow I've entered the Twilight Zone. Oh well, I guess when you are the best people want to tear you a new one.

Please, God, don't let Tony turn into a Jeff or Jimmie. He'd still be bashed, though.

I'd rather have someone who isn't cloned and rehearses what they say before every interview. And remind me the number of times Tony or his crew chief have been suspended for cheating? Compare that to Chad Knauss. Gordon and Johnson are only half of what they are because they cheat. Also, Jeff isn't such a good guy a lot of the times. Comparing the 1 time I've encountered Jeff and the 3 times I've met Tony, I have a lot better taste of Tony than Jeff. Jeff demanded all of his fans move and get out of the way before making an appearance at the Pespi suite before one Brickyard 400 and used plenty of explatives. I know Tony cusses and whatnot but not usually at his fans.

If you are going to talk about Tony wrecking people, and I'll be the first to admit that he has, does and will probably continue to do it but you also have to look at the one he learned if from. Dale Sr. was notorious for wrecking people to get them out of his way, his teammates way or his son's way. Every one of them does it, even your precious Jeff and Jimmie.

Tony has actually already been in a Subway commerical this year congratulating Jared on 10 years of keeping his weight off, you obviously don't watch race coverage to see that.

Gibbs said that Budweiser didn't fit with their morals because they are a very Christian family and from what I have heard they do not drink alcohol so it was more of a personal family issue than anything else. I'd want Tony driving for me because he is aggressive. They do punish him and will continue to punish him but he is a grown man and he is going to do whatever he wants.

What do you base that on? The millions of dollars his foundation gives to Victory Junction and other charities, or the poor reportes who get upset because he is rude sometimes when he is answering the same lame*** question for the 200th time.

...I'm actually all about these drivers being able to show some emotion.(not on the track...of course). Last year was so lame! It was like everyone had a stick up their @ss...Tony Stewart, is hostile that's him and Busch is a skinny chump, who tries to start things he can't finish. I'm lovin the new season so far...it's quite exciting.

Let me guess your new to NASCAR. I have question how many times did we see things like this happen. Quite a bit. Lets look down history shall we. 1st of the 1979 Daytona.(if you don't know this look it up its been talked as the event that set NASCAR on its path.)#2 Please look at Dale Earnhardt, not the Jr one but the elder one. If someone pissed him off you know and you saw the results and you heard him speak it and do another. Also many times other drivers bumped with him. Lastly and most recent I bring in Matt Kenseth ask him how well Gordon plays nice in the pool. Granted it was some pay back for a dump to Jeff but come on we all saw it. Jeff shoved Matt on pit road in 2006, then Dumpped him in another race. Mr. Gordon is just a fired up but he has mellowed and plays the corperate line now. Jimmie is just as bad. Hey they all. oh lets not for Get 2007 when we had Kurt get into the back of Tony in the 500. and we also saw lets say a patty cake game with Kevin Harvick and JPM. We had Denny Hamlin, Kyle Petty. there was more out there as well. No its not all Tony's fault he just never changed his old school ways of racing, and the fans want more of that, and it seems maybe just maybe NASCAR is going to let them be themelves but have the rains of not using the car as a weapon. But a little push and shove, couple words flug around no problem.

It is so wrong for Tony to have received 6 weeks probation. They were practicing and when they are on the track they are in race mode. Kurt shouldn't think the racers will back off for him. He deserved a fine and probation. Kurt is a crybaby.

Seems to me that the threads that are being answered by newbs are threads that are not originating in this forum.

Key words (ie, Tony Stewart, Dale Jr, Joe Gibbs, etc) found in the articles these threads are tagged to brings the new threads to the Tony Stewart Forum.

In short, we are having 'outsiders' bombarding the TS forum because of the way Topix has things set up.

Sadly, many of the TS regulars have all been banned or have left on their own. So there are fewer threads originating here.

Boys and girls, chill out. Six weeks probation, so what. Everyone put on your thinking cap, when was the last time you saw anyone on probation get into anymore trouble and NASCAR do anything anymore than a fine. Busch and Tony put some interest in the race. Busch got his for bumping on pitroad and Tony got his for thumping Busch in the trailer. Now the infield is sold out. Now everyone is happy except Busch.

I HAVE BEEN HERE AWHILE I ALSO LIKE THE OLD SCHOOL RACING. IF YOU WATCH THE SPEED SHOWS OF THE OLD RACES THAT IS WHAT YOU SEE DRIVERS KNOCKING CARS OUT OF THEIR WAY. MUCH LIKE THE WAY TONY DRIVES. TONY SHOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN A PENALTY. ALOT OF DRIVERS ARE NOT SURE HOW THESE CARS WILL HANDLE IN TRAFFIC AND ARE FOUNDING OUT YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO THINGS IN THE COT THAT YOU COULD IN THE OLD CARS. I THINK YOU WILL SEE MORE OF THESE THINGS HAPPENING TIL THEY GET USE TO THESE CARS. KURT HAS USED HIS CAR LIKE THAT BEFORE AND IS LUCKY HE DID NOT HIT THE CREW PERSON. WONDER HOW HE WOULD FEEL THEN IF THAT GUY WAS HURT?

Tony fat boy Stewart is nothing more than a bully.
He was the one who caused the whole tiff between himself and Kurt Busch. He just figures everyone should get out of his way on the track. Well someone should tell him he is not God out there. So get a haircut and a shower, maybe he'll be able to think clearer.

Go Jimmie!
