That's what wrong with NASCAR today. What would have Earnhardt Sr have done Saturday night? What would have Jff Gordan done in his early years? These guys make too much money without having to win and Bruton built these little sissys a different place to race!

I agree! What the hell happened. Kahne complains that jgr drivers have taken him out so many times yet he doesn't even try to rough kenseth up at all. Looks like Khane is jgr's whipping boy.

On top of that vickers hits everything, still gets a top 5 and no one went after him..... Where are the real drivers at?

My opinion is that the last few times he tried shoving someone out of the way, he got the worst of it so I think he was scared to try dumping Matt.

Nascar ruined the whole package by coming up with the chase. Then they quadrupled it by expanding to 12 positions and not guaranteeing the 11th & 12th in points a chance. Depends on wins from the 11th to 20th positions. They have also gone way overboard in making all the cars the same. Only good I have seen since the major changes are the safety devices. Other than that, Nascar officials should butt out. Go back to old fashioned racing for points the whole season. Didn't like it much when Kenseth won the championship with no wins so they changed the rules. I say consistency matters. Also don't like seeing people in the top ten changing positions at the start of the chase depending on wins. Officials, wake up. You have ruined the sport.......

With the groove up high, the bump and run is not as easy as it used to be at Bristol....but Jeff or harvick or Denny or stewart would have tried it...

Kayne is a clean driver...nothing wrong with that, just his style

Maybe NASCAR could pay bonus bucks for last lap pass to win???

Kahne showed some class by not dumping Kenseth. Dale Sr. would have but the last time he tried it was the LAST TIME. Nothing wrong with racing clean and hard.I guess he would rather win without wrecking the guy to win and possibly wrecking himself.

Just for the record, Kenseth won in Texas that year. Honestly I think if enough drivers finish outside the top 10 with wins and enough finish in the top 10 without wins, I wonder if the next change will be that drivers have to have a win to make the chase at all.

I do agree that consistency matters and the chase ruined nascar's integrity a lot. It has screwed Jeff Gordon from being up there with Richard Petty & Dale Sr. It has also screwed Carl Edwards out of 2 championships and Kevin Harvick out of 1. JJohnson & Kurt Busch are really the only drivers that have benefited from the chase because Kurt has a championship to his name thanks to the chase and JJohnson has an additional 3 to go with the two that he would've won anyways under the old format...Stewart has an extra one too because of the chase.

OK, lets talk about "clean" racing. The car in front has clean air, right? Bruton's stupid little repave has created a one groove track. A car can hang in the high groove and block unless the car trying to pass is exponentially faster. So in essence Kenseth was blocking Kahne, but Kahne was too muh of a sissy to do anything about it. Its funny to me that blocking is clean racing when these cars are so aero dependent! Of course this situation was created by an ignorant decision by a track owner. Bristol had a uniqueness about it...and a ten year waiting list for tickets!!

I just dont agree that wrecking the leader to win is cool. And a definite Yes on the chase being stupid. Racingfan I usually agree with you on most of your comments but I dont on this one. I know you really care if I agree or not. (lol)

He's a homosexual? That's right, because he's married and has another daughter on the way.
