Terrible coverage of the 2013 Daytona 500. We don't need to see the same thing over a million times when the race is still going. The commercials were far too many and far too often. Lost track of the race and what was going on. Bored me with all the commercials. Really ruined it for a big NASCAR fan. FOX Sports...you suck!

Too many commercials once again, reminded me of Indy 500, Im done with this "fan friendly" joke. I WAS a fan for over 20 years, now I'm going to switch to watching Phillipino slap fighting, which of course is being bradcast on fox. One slap then twenty three minutes of commercials.

i have been watching nascar since the late 80s and i will never ever watch the 500 on cable again that was so shamefull i may never watch another race on cable im so freaking mad why do they think by shoving ads in our face that we will buy there crap i will never buy anything that was shoved in my face today just because they ruined my race im so mad i feel sick to my belly nascar you lost a long term fan today

How many commercials were played? The fox coverage was overshadowed by more commercial time than actual race time broadcast. Does anyone know the stats on the difference between the two? Worst NASCAR race broadcast in 30 years watching. What a joke!

Nascar should make a comment page easier to access so there is more people using it and reading it. They would see how many fans they are losing due to Foxes commercials. I switched over to CMT during the race DAYS OF THUNDER was on and i seen much more racing there wit less commecials.

nascar.com must have been inundated with negative comments about yesterday's borefest. It's the first time I have read an article on their and there is no way to comment. At the end of the JJ winning the 500 article the message reads - We apologize. We are having technical issues with our comment sections and fan community and it is temporarily unavailable. We are actively working on these issues and hope to have it up and running soon. We are also working on enhancements to provide a better forum for our fans. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.

I hope it's because of the negativity towards yesterdays race because they desrve to hear about it like it is being commented on here.

I don't think nascar cares , they are picking up new fans with Danica , not racing fans , but Danica fans , look how long its taken nascar to finally see that race fans want to see the fastest cars race not the owners points / driver points , they still should go to the 43 fastest cars run no provisionals ....

By my estimate there were approximately 400 commercials in the 3+ hour broadcast. A break every 4 or 5 minutes with sometimes 8 commercials in a row, then 3 or 4 more promos at the return. Brutal. FOX and NASCAR treat their fans and viewers like suckers. No respect at all.

I think it's getting worse. Commercials every 3-4 laps during Las Vegas! Brutal.
