I totally agree with these from the article.

1) The 43 fastest cars should race. If Tiger Woods misses the cut, he goes home. Why should it be any different for Dale Earnhardt Jr. or Jeff Gordon?
3) A driver must be allowed a couple of minutes to cool down and maybe see the replay of what happened before a microphone is stuck in his face.

Let's be reasonable..NASCAR is all about Jr. Then Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson. If NASCAR ran a race because one of these guys didn't qualify there would be a riot.

These are very good things....I think NASCAR has to wake up and do some changing or lots of loyal fans will be gone. After all, Bristol was another very boring race.

And the "Car Of Today" still looks like a four door 1978 Chevy Nova.If you don't believe me google it.Drive's like the UPS truck too from what I have heard.Bristol was not an exciting race.None of them have been and I and a lot of others are really losing interest in this sport. BORING!!

I think people just dont understand what drives Nascar...it's called sponsorship. Without it, the Nascar teams die. What corporation is going to lend several million dollars to a team if missing the race is a real possibility? It has not been the fastest 43 and it never will be. Why can't people get over it already? Companies protect the people that make their company work. When it became apparent that Dale Jr and some of the biggest sponsors could miss races and scare sponsors away Nascar had to do something...it's that simple. Now if a team works their ass off and races hard to get in that top 35 before the year is out they have a legit shot of attracting sponsorship because they are guaranteeing that sponsor 5 races at least.

Right now the Economy is hurting and that is also making sponsorship hard but the top 35 is what will get sponsors to get more involved once the Economy comes back up.

Bristol was boring? What the hell do people need to see to make the race less boring. Should Nascar install a hot wheels loop covered in flames at every track? I just dont get it...

Some people just are just never happy.

I liked this race at Bristol because it raced much more like the old configuration but the ability to pass high did produce itself. I thought that made for a good cross between the races of the old and the race from last august that looked like a mini michigan.

I agree with al of those as well.
Brian France has gotten so money hungry, it makes me sick. I've been a Nascar fan longer that Brian has been around, and what he calls racing now is nothing but a JOKE. The show is over, and soon the fat lady and DW will be singing. For the cost of the tickets and what it costs to go to a race is crazy, for what you get inreturn, GOOD JOB Brian, your grandfather would be real proud of the way you F----- up what he started....
And what happened to the cost savings this COT was suppost to be, what a joke..It might be a little safer car but so was the past car, you can only make something that goes into a turn at over 200mph so safe.
And i don't care what those so called experts say on T V, good year is dictating the races look at last year, most of those races came down to a lousey $250.00 tire on a $100,000.00 plus car...
Good work Goodyear, i won't run your tires on my cars and haven't in over 25 years, your tires are over priced junk...
Lets see what happens now with the economy going into the sewer, and what the sponcerships will be like with T V ratings and track attendence droping off... I for one won't go to another race out here in California (Fontana) after this past year, i had to eat both my saturday and Sunday tickets because there is no refund for bad weather...
And now i won't make my plans around a race like in the past because the races are nothing exceiting for the buck anymore ( JIMMY SPENCER who wasn't that good)
This rear sucks so far, might as well just watch the last ten laps, if the race doesn't get in the way of the commercials...

I think we might be all alone here Lisa. Some people just can't figure out what it takes to make a race work. Beside's what company ever goes out and does not try and make as much money as they can? I can't even imagine how much it cost's to put on a Nascar race. I know it's a hell of a lot though.

Sorry for all who thought Bristol sucked...that was a fun race to watch. Oh, by the way...the ticket prices are going to go up so that Nascar can install those flaming loops at all of their tracks. Supply and Demand you know...

I'ts nice to see another enlightened soul out there bobbyo. NASCAR is not about the racing anymore. It's about NASCAR protecting the NASCAR brand and catering to their corporate bed partners( the top 35 in points), all while padding King Brian's wallet. When you give 35 cars a free pass to make the show week after week, you can't call that good racing. No other racing series or sport does this. It's a joke but the NASCAR propaganda machine will have you beleive this is the best racing in the world. King Brian and his cronies have turned the series into a corporate circus side show. My hope is for NASCAR's tv ratings to continue to slide and for King Brian and his henchmen to keep drowning the rapidly declining old school loyal fan base in the corporate sludge they call racing. Lets face it the fads over. The wine, cheese and cigar crowd are going back to the bat and ball sports and it's all down hill from here... Enjoy the ride suckers.

I beg very much to differ with you

I am a RACE fan first - forget who is driving - lets just see a GREAT slam bang race!

Ya see my screen name - I love ALL the drivers - yeah - even Kenny Schrader.

EVERY race is a GOOD race. Racing cars is fun. Have you ever been to a race(s)?

I am inclined to agree with Lisa - why are you here?

You've heard of the "wild card race" in baseball? C'mon Ex-Fan ... either be a fan or not PICK ONE! You obviously still watch/pay attention to the series, so stop complaining or stop watching ... either one is fine, but PLEASE make a decision!

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Virgo

Keep a pinch of salt handy today because not everything you hear will be the gospel truth. Someone might have manipulated the facts to make them sound more acceptable, or they may have got carried away and forgotten to tell you something rather vital. Try to keep misunderstandings to a minimum by being as straightforward and honest as possible, and by not simply assuming that people know what you're talking about and therefore not bothering to explain properly.
