I don't know that Rick Hendrick had much choice in the matter! L'il Kyle can be a bit of a handful, and a bit big for his britches too - but he CAN drive - and much like PinHead, that means pretty much anything with wheels. But... when Dale Jr. came on the market last year, HMS had very little option but to at least TRY to get him. We know that Jr. is devoted to GM (and I'm sure that's part of why PinHead wants out - not that TOYOTA is bad for the sport, the economy or anything else). Tony has a couple of long term deals in place that kept GM in the forefront of Tony's mind. I'm glad it did actually, I can begin to root for him again, and I always rooted for L'il Kyle anyway!

Nice article. He is a great talent. It's good that he parted ways with HMS because obviously he would not have had the same success he's having now if he had stayed. The article clearly states that he feels more at home & like he can be himself at JGR & how he gets along better & works better with his teamates etc. I still doubt that Rick is kicking himself like some would like to believe. I'm sure Rick knows that had Kyle stayed with HMS the results would not be as good as we're seeing now.

Exactly. Look what Kind of results Jr is giving Rick, Up in the front nearly every week, challenging for the win, wouldn't be able to say that if he was still with DEI.

I like "Rowdy" better then "Shrubby" as a nickname. Seems more respectful somehow, more of a credit to his driving style etc!? Wonder which one he prefers.

I would assume it would be Rowdy since he gave himself that nickname.

You gonna love the 20 when Joey Lagano is in it? Also just so you're aware if you don't give respect you don't get none. I've seen no evidence of that in Kyle Busch.

It'll be hard not to want to see the 20 do well no matter who is in it..

As for the respect thing...Kyle was hated from the get go...It's kinda hard to show respect when you've got 200,000 people booing you...

I like Joey & think he will do well in the 20. I'm sticking with Smoke though. I will not root against JGR, like them too. As far as Kyle, yeah, his attitude bothers me a good bit, I've said that many times but I was talking about his driving ability.

Just read that OBAMA is thinking about sponsering a Nascar car for the August 3rd race. Ken S. will be driving. One time thingy only.
