Irritating Kyle Busch is the true heir to the 'Intimidator'

We've had it wrong all along. You did, I did and even one of NASCAR's most astute talent evaluators - ultra-successful team owner Rick Hendrick - did. Full Story

When did Dale Sr. ever take responsibility for anything ? He wrecked other people plenty of times and never said sorry, ne would just say "i wuz just rattlin' his cage, he's the one who put it in the fence".
Dale Sr. was an arrogant SOB, a great driver, but he wasn't some humble dude who raced clean.
You so-called fans need to decide what you want, you all complain about cookie-cutter tracks and cookie-cutter drivers and then someone like Kyles comes along and you complain about that. Make up your minds. Enjoy the ride!!
I think you are all mad because your boy Jr. hasn't really got the stones and he's a stammering idiot in his interviews, the dude has no personality and is a bore to listen to. He's an OK driver, but he doesn't have the fire in his belly.
How very refreshing to hear someone tell it like it is. I am so tired of the whining. Do they want to go to the ballet or to the NASCAR race?

Mike,
You are so far out of touch with Nascar, I can't beleive you would actually compare a snot nosed whinning punk to the late great Dale Earnhardt. One thing the intimidator never did was whine, that just shows me you don't have a clue about Nascar or it's history. You should stick to what you know which apparently, is not Nascar. Kyle Busch was released by Hendrick for neglect of his responsibilities and duties as a driver. Under no circumstances do you walk away from your ride during a race, that is something Dale Sr. never did. Next time you need to do a little more homework on your Nascar history before you go preaching the facts.
.
Marty, it is you who is somewhat off in your history of NASCAR, fact is, Dale Earnhardt Sr. got away with so much that Felix Sabatas actually for one race had the #42 Coors Lite car painted identical to the Goodwrench #3 but with the coors lite sponsorship and #42 still on it, when asked why he did it, he stated, If my car looks like the #3 prehaps my driver could get away with as much as the #3 does. Dale Earnhardt was a great driver, however, no better than Curtis Turner who was banned from NASCAR for many seasons because of the Teamsters Union Debacle, or a young Daryl Walthrip before the wreck when he put the #11 Pepsi Challenger Car into the inside wall at Daytona, Daryl was never the same driver after that. Jeff Gordon has more wins against harder competition that Sr. had, so, please do not put Sr. up as some sort of a racing God. Kyle Bush, much like an early Sr. is now being promoted as the face of NASCAR, they attempted with Jr. however, he failed the test. As far as the reason Hendrick released Bush, it was to get Jr. and take on a crusade to get Jr. a championship, Hendrick has always been a punk and would have gone to prison except for so called being at death's door step and after the punishment was changed, voila, the disease was never heard of again. Sr. was an 80s and 90s driver who got away with 60s style of rough driving when no other driver could. I guess you forget those things, however, it is not hard to understand from a person who thought the #70 was a competitive car.

If what you say is true and these guys do not have talent, then why did the so called Great Sweatness, Walter Payton attempt to drive race cars and was at best a back marker? Why does much respected Joe Gibbs say that these drivers are every bit the athlete as anybody else in any sport? Like the old saying goes, in baseball, basketball, football and soccer it only takes one ball to play, it takes both balls to drive a racecar.

Kyle Busch, Sorry to disappoint all you "jump on the band wagon people" put you Bud's down and watch this kid. He's a one of kind that comes along in any sport rarely. His name will be mentioned along with Woods, Ruth, Jordan, Marciano, Mantle... some day.

If you don't know who Joe Gibbs is you need to forget about being on a nascar forum. You need to educate yourself about racing. Your rambling in the dark.....

It's definitely too early to put Kyle in a list of greats. He's on a tremendous roll right now, but then at the end of last season everyone was ready to coronate JJ as the new king or Nascar. Now, not even a year later he's still good, but certainly not on par with last year. Kyle may well be able to continue this run and become a great one. But, both he and his brother have always shown a tendency to self-destruct when the pressure is on.

Right now he's running against drivers that are fighting for the chase. Points racing sucks, but that's the way of Nascar. Its much better to finish in the top 5 or 10 rather than wreck trying to get past Kyle and risk finishing at the rear of the pack.

Come off of it, what does Kyle's skills have to do with his brother. He and Kurt are two different people. The truth of it is he's a great driver and for all you want to make bad of him he's a good person. Don't y'all think it kill's me that Kasey who's also an awesome driver isn't on top. I for one am sick of seeing people be so hateful. Y'all know about throwing the first the stone, how about if you never said a nasty thing about anything or anybody, now you can be the first. Root for your driver. enjoy raciing and admire a winner. Enought bullpoop

I think the point was that Kyle's having a great year so far. But to paint him as a legend after only half a season is just rediculous. There are tons of cases where someone comes along and does great for a short time. The real test will be for him to finish out the season with a championship and then repeat his performance for at least partially for a few years.

Kyle seems like a nice person when he's winning, the times I've seen him lose though he has acted like an infant. I think he'll outgrow that, but until he does he'll certainly have a lot of detractors. Losing with grace is something that the greats learn to do. In that respect, I'd say your Kasey has a huge edge of the so called great Kyle Busch.

Son, you need to educate yourself on some of the other sports before you wish to compare them as superior to NASCAR, Baseball equates to better players through chemestry.
Football, not a person in the sport with any type of cardiovascular training.
Basketball, lets not go there, I attempted to watch roots one time, I saw 10 black guys running around in shorts and nobody made a basket so I turned it off.

Remember, stupid, little Walter Peyton was a failure at attempting to drive racecars, after setting the record (at the time) for career rushing yardage.

You call it neckcar, well, junior, when was the last time a NASCAR driver was arrested for having his pregnant girlfriend killed?
When was the last time a member of a drivers posse shot and paralyzed a man?
When was the last time a driver was arrested for dog fighting?

Junior, you can take your stick and one ball sports and the idiots who play them, I will take my sport where people still live within the law.
