We've had it wrong all along. You did, I did and even one of NASCAR's most astute talent evaluators - ultra-successful team owner Rick Hendrick - did.

Dude, put the pipe down. One season and you're comparing him to Dale Sr? One season? Try at least seven and even then. Fans hate him because he never takes responsibility for his actions. You could catch him red-handed doing something wrong, and he would blame it on someone else. Nothing, and I mean nothing is ever his fault. Watch his post race interviews. I don't have a problem with his brashness as a driver as he is talented, but he's a whiney ass when he gets out of the car and things don't go his way.

I agree 100%! Ever notice how he can put anyone in the fence, yet Brian France would NEVER consider penalizing him for it, regardless of how blatant it is? Yeah Brian, we know. NASCAR needs the controversy to get new fans interested, because the old fans have had enough of your s**t!!!

I think you two are the ones smoking something. lol

I've been watching Nascar for over 40 years Kyle is the real deal. He may not ever win 7 championships , but I don't think anyone can in this day and age.

mike bianchi is an idiot. If he were a NASCAR fan, he would not write such trash. Dale Earnhardt Sr. respected his fellow drivers, the fan's, NASCAR and the history of NASCAR. That little scumbag busch does not respect anything. Of course, I can't expect a pathetic little hack like mike bianchi to understand that. He's to busy wasting paper and time to do any thoughtful writing.

Dale Sr. was an arrogant SOB, a great driver, but he wasn't some humble dude who raced clean.
You so-called fans need to decide what you want, you all complain about cookie-cutter tracks and cookie-cutter drivers and then someone like Kyles comes along and you complain about that. Make up your minds. Enjoy the ride!!
I think you are all mad because your boy Jr. hasn't really got the stones and he's a stammering idiot in his interviews, the dude has no personality and is a bore to listen to. He's an OK driver, but he doesn't have the fire in his belly.
As I've said before, Kyle is exactly what NASCAR needs right now. He brings color and passion to the sport.
And for those who call him whiney, yeah you may have a point, but he'll grow out of that, Gordon did.

I never liked Kyle but I do recognize that he's the best driver today and you have to respect that. How many times have you seen him dropped to the back for whatever reason and made his way back to the front? Last, you may hate his aggressive driving and intentional bumping, NASCAR officials are like the gestoppels so Kyle still plays w/in the rules.

Great article and so true. Dale would have loved watching Kyle race. I love watching him race whether he wins or not because just like Dale, he never gives up. If Jr. Nation fans think Kyles done just because he's tossed to the back, they haven't been paying attention. That's just when the fun begins. I've followed Dales career his whole life and beyond and have missed seeing a "seat of your pants, race every lap" kind of racing since we lost Dale. Anyone notice that Kyle is more than half way to Jrs. total career wins? If they can compare Dales and Gordons, I can sure keep an eye on Jrs. and Kyles.

Yes Kyle is doing wonderful .He is able to come back from any adversity time and again.
I hate the whiney brat but he is good.
I cannot not for the life of me understand though that everyone insists on calling him the next great Dale Sr. This is his first breakout year. When he has done this for a year or two and comes back and repeats this year then call him something but I believe Dale Sr deserves his name and place in history himself and if Kyle is going to make a name for himself then surely he deserves something of his own instead of a name borrowed?
Surely you writers can come up with something more unique than the next Dale Sr?
He is not now or will he ever be the next Dale Sr even if he has the similer quaulities.
Please let Dale Rest in Peace!

That articale is so true and I am a beliver that the spirit of folks passed do come back in others and Dale loved his racing just Like Kyle and I believe Dale is riding with Kyle and his spirit dwells within the great Kyle Buch, for Dale wouldnt want Nascar the way it was going so he yet again gave Nascar the boot in the hinnie and knew that only Kyle could give back to his fans the kind of racing that we know is true gut racing so he choose Kyle and folks, I do believe Kyle is going to keep your hornests stirred up within you for a long time to come, what a great race and what a great driver,{{KYLE AND SR}} it dont get better than that!!! I said, SR will live on!!!

Dale could never rest in peace with Nascar being the way it was going, he was a hard metal to the petal, fire in the gut driver and he would want that to continue, and now he is having the tiome of it all with Kyle bringing back all he stood for and remember, Dale had a beginning also, and dont count Kyle out as an all time great, Dale proved them wrong in his day to but you know the rest of the story!!{{{GO KYLE}}} And just like the {{GREAT MAN IN BLACK}}{{KYLE BUSCH}} not only drives like the wind, hes not afraid to spit into it!!!!!!

Get offer Dale Jr. fans, Kyle is the real deal unlike the son of the late Dale. You might win some restrictor plate races Dale Jr. but you fail to win anything else. Most overrated fan driver, he's not awesome Bill from Dawesonville he is a hack! Go Kyle Busch race the J.Gibbs car hard!

You so overstated this that it's ridiculous. He's driving a tricked up Toy, he wrecks people, he has NO personality. You obviously know nothing about Dale Sr. to write such a ridiculous article.

Busch is due credit for a good year but don't put him into the same class as a 7 time NASCAR champ.

I've seen your stuff before. You're one of those Junior haters and really the only reason you're writing anything to praise Busch is that you can use it to crap on Junior. Pathetic. By the way, who is second in points AND would've have another win if your boy Busch hadn't run out of talent and wrecked him.

Sorry I clicked on this link and gave you any hits.

I really get tired of new fans trying to make Dale into a saint. He was anything but! He'd be the first one to flip you the bird on your comments. On the track Kyle is very much like Dale. Read some of the stories about Dale. Richard Petty said "He's a great driver, but it's not my style of driving. I don't like to run over people." The Jr. nation is just mad because Kyle is doing everything this year that they thought Jr. was suppose to do. Sorry, Kyle didn't get that script. You don't have to be a Jr. hater to like Kyle. You just have to a fan that can enjoy seeing a driver give 110% on every lap even if you don't care for him personally. I'm sure Rick Hendricks is kicking himself because on the track Kyle is showing who the superior driver is BUT Jr. is brining in the big bucks in endorsements and sales and Hendricks is all about the bottom line....MONEY!

Kyle has not wrecked anyone to get his six wins! And I see you are calling your JR a liar cause he said him self that He was at fault for the deal in Richmond, I was there and it was just a racing thing but if Kyle was to wreck him there to win, UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM he came in second! And by the way, you are right that Jr is second in points, but wasnt it his daddy that always said {{BEING SECOND IS THE FIRST LOSER}} ENOUGH SAID!!!{{{{GO KYLE}}

Mike, don't think Kyle is nowhere near the man Earnhardt was. When did you see Earnhardt taking bows and taunting the fans like Kyle does? As far as his talent, where was all the wins driving for Hendricks last year in a Chevy since they were the dominating team last year? No, the reason Kyle is so good this year is the Toyotas. They plain and simple have more horsepower than any other cars out there. Look at the 20 car which has had four different drivers win including Joey Logano in just his what 3rd or 4th start. They have won what nine busch races at Joe Gibbs. Clint Bowyer said it best Friday Night "a monkey could drive that 20 car and win". It must be true because four different drivers have won in it. And, did you hear the annoucers talking about Nascar not letting Chevy run their new R07 Engine in Busch but have to run the SB-2 Engine which they have been running since 1998. The annoucers even talked about Hamlin being 2 secs behind and with no drafting help moved up the field and won the race with nobody challenging him and Kyle running second in guess what-A Toyota. Granted, Kyle is a good driver but looking at Gibbs stats from last year and Busch's stats from last year you can definitely see a trend and that trend is the Toyotas are making them successful. Don't agree with Jack Roush on much but he was definitely right about what Toyota would do to this sport. The other big three automakers cannot match what Toyota is spending and money buys speed. Did Kyle all of a sudden get that much better from leaving Hendricks driving chevys to going to Gibbs driving Toyotas. I don't think so, its the advantage that the Toyotas have and anyone who can't clearly see that is either blind or doesn't have a clue about Nascar. Nascar probably want admit it, but I think that's one reason the crowds are dwindling. There are still a lot of Ford, Chevy, and Dodge Fans out here and if they don't start leveling the field then I think the crowds will continue to dwindle. Don't even get me started on the COT. Also, look how much more dominating Gibbs would have been if not for all the bad luck of Tony Steward and blown tires he has had, I was at Bristol this year Tony and Kyle dominating. Kyle lost his car on his own. Tony got bumped and Jeff Burton slipped in and won. Funny, I don't remember Earnhardt just flat losing a car by himself like Kyle has done three or four times this year while leading. Kyle is a good driver but he's not quite up to Earnhardt status. If Earnhardt had been driving for a top team like Hendricks no telling how many wins and more championships he would have had. CHildress was a decent team but definitely was not a good as Hendricks. Earnhardt actually made Childress look better that than they were. And, Earnhardt could take a fifth place car and win with it. Something a lot of other drivers could never do. When giving credit to Kyle, most of it is because of Toyotas and their advantage. Again, compare Kyle last year to this year. Compare Gibbs last year and this year. What the difference? Toyotas. Of course, Nascar is telling us there is no difference in the car makes horsepower. But remember, this is the same organization that tells us that the races are sellouts or the crowds are not dwindling even though we as fans can see plenty of empty seats.

Actually, you dont remember quite frankly that it was "KYLE BUSCH" who won the very first race in the COT and that was a Chevy with the so-called HMS horse power, but if you say its cause of Toyota why he wins, ""WRONG"" he has always had that awesome talent but do you think that JG and JJ was going to sit back and let the real star being Kyle show them up?? GET REAL?? And why is it JG and JJ and JR as he to drove a chevy couldnt win in the COT at first?? Now explain that!! And no lame excuses, Kyle once again, WON THE FIRST WIN IN THE COT, A CHEVY AT THAT!! Aint that some thing?? You can talk til your blue in the face but Kyle is the best driver in Nascar no matter what make he drives and he proved that in HMS!! And ole Rick just didnt think that Kyle was gonna beat them in circles, it was JR who was going to win, win, win. UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Whats wrong with this picture?? And looks like JG and JJ aint liking each other that much either! Kyle last year did dam good in spite Rick not giving him as good as JG and JJ so get off your trip of "LOOK NOW" How lame!!{{{{GO KYLE}}}}
