NASCAR confiscates illegal parts from 16 teams, penalties possible
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.-NASCAR confiscated spacers that support the hinge bar of the roof flaps from 16 Sprint Cup Series teams prior to practice Thursday at Daytona International Speedway.

Probably 6 points penalty for each team. However this will be the third time this year for the 2 car. Wonder if they will get hit really hard. Wolfe should be suspended for at least six times this time around. Wolfe is trying to catch up with Chad all in one year.

But at the same time, with so many violations it makes you wonder if nascars rule book is a little gray. Not detailed enough. Who knows.

Guess some teams think cheating by many will come with no consequences. In the end, I think penalties are in order en masse even though this will give JJ a bigger lead after today unless he ends up 43rd. But then, maybe Nascar will warn all the teams and give them all a pass like they did to JJ when he had illegal car and won the appeal.

Nascar wants to control the winner. Plain and simple. They have shown that by not giving appeals to anyone but Golden Boy Johnson.
