The addition of some highly talented open-wheeled racers will make for a very competetive season. The C.O.T. may have an impact as well. I feel that the car will be a benefit for some of the low budget teams.

You made me spit my drink all over my keyboard.

That's the funniest thing I've heard all day.

What happens when he runs midpack?

Will all the Jr. lovers not watch?

No they probably will watch, because the media will focus of his subpar performance like he's running up front.

Now why would the media do that?

Anyone, anyone, bueller, bueller, oh I know!

HIS LAST NAME!

Hey Jim my husband gave me a espn century video for christmas it was about Dale Jr,and I was really great there was interviews with him and his dad that I think would maybe make you think differently about Jr. Dale Jr never wanted all of this attention but he couldn't help it,and when his dad was still alive they interviewed Dale SR and he said that alot of fans were coming up to him asking about Dale jr,and that Dale Jr had alot of fans and that was before his death.

I didn't say he didn't have fans before Dale died. I said that his fans (most) are because of his last name.

Hendricks focus will still be on Johnson and Gordon. Jr. will still be like the other drivers that was in his stable mid pack car. Not taking anything away from Jr. he is a decent driver but he is big because of his dad. Mears and Busch are both really talented drivers but ran mid pack and back because Hendricks focus was on the #48 and #24 and will always be those two are his money makers.

Ok agree to disagree you may be right some fans may be because of his dad and that fine with me. I like Dale Jr for my reasons and not because of his dad,but we all have are reasons. but I also am huge fan of Tony's. but I respect your opionion

Anyone that doesn't believe THE major effort at Hendrick Motor Sports will be to put that number 88 into victory lane is too stupid to grasp much about the facts of racing or economics. Rick Hendrick didn't spend the money and effort to acquire Dale Earnhardt Jr., the biggest name in Cup racing, to leave him lanquishing in 15th place. Dale Earnhardt Jr. didn't devest himself of his birthright to lanquish in 15th place. The number 88 team is going to be a force that has to be reckoned with in the coming seasons. Learn to love him because you're going to see a lot of him.

I agree with you on that. I don't care what his last name is, I want to see him win. I'm still going with 12. lol

I just dont see it happening with them being in different shops. Also no one is better with the car setups as chad knaus. And with him working right with the 24 team Jr. dont have a chance.
Besides Tony "Smoke" Stewart and Denny Hamlin are going to be the men to beat this year. With Gibbs switching to toyota and all the $$$$$ they are giving them they are going to be a force too tough to beat. GO 20

I agree, Hendrick isn't a stupid man. He now has a full house of power drivers.
