The only driver that was caught cheating DURING A RACE AND WON WAS CARL EDWARDS.What happened to the Gibbs cars was after the race. And more importantly neither car won. I don't understand what the big stink is !! ITS OK for a driver to cheat to win . But get caught after the race OMG lets strap in the electric chair and pull the switch!! O!! dont forget to wet the sponge
The reason this is considered more serious is it effects the entire season and all Toyota drivers. If you fool NASCAR into thinking you have less horsepower they will either take horsepower away from the other manufacters or give you more. This would create a huge advantage for all Toyota teams, not just Gibbs. This infraction did not help Gibbs win a race but could have given them and the other Toyota team a huge advantage for the rest of the season.

He'll never fill Tony's shoes and I think it's too soon to move him to Cup. I think EVERY driver should have at least one year of Nationwide experience before moving up.
I think he's cocky and arrogant and he and Kyle will end up having issues with each other.
Joey is not arrogant and cocky he is a very nice young man.He blamed himself every time things went bad Kyle is the arrogant and cocky one.I think Joey is awesome.Have you seen him in ARCA did you see the race he won in Rockingham?? The boy is great He will give cocky boy a run for his money

I think he is an extremely talented young driver and he and Zippy will be a force to reckon with.
I'm a little leary of his age, but in every interview I've heard, he's knowledgeable and modest.
I watched him race from the rear of the field to the top 10 at what I think was his first time at Bristol - he's smart and patient. If not for trouble at the end I think he would have had a great finish.
Other than being an impressive driver, I don't see that he and Tony have much in common. It will be interesting to see them race against each other next season. Good Luck to both!
I know you are right about that. The kid is very level headed a very good driver and I say watch out for him in that 20 car

Naming Joey to the 20 wasn't a surprise. But having him represent Home Depot is, IMO.

I understand that HD wants to stay with Gibbs, but Joey just doesn't seem like the kinda person that would shop at HD. I thought the reason HD liked Tony some much is because he was "just like their customers", the "everyday man". I don't even consider Joey a "man" and I doubt he shops at Home Depot. Not many 18 years-olds do. Will HD's customers be able to relate to Logano? I think as soon as their contracts up we may see HD look for a more suitable driver to represent them or at the very least, look to share their sponsorship. JMO

Or burned out, or gets an "how did Nascar survive without me" attitude. Harvick had that mindset a few years ago, but is maturing into a decent driver and, with Delana's help, a smart businessman.
Right now Joey seems to have a level head on his shoulders - and strong family support.
I know he's living what millions of kids would dream of racing in the top stock car series. Good for him.

I know he hit it big with keeping home depot! The kid couldn't have said no to signing on when it was all on the table. He wouldn't have anyways but even if it's to soon that's one deal he couldn't turn down. I think after a year Home Depot might move on but you never know Tony started out young and small. I'd say a lot will have to do with how he relates to the media and his appearances. Only time will tell.

He was asked about that on sirius the other day if he was a HD guy...he laughed and said "I am now". I really doubt if he's ever bought anything at HD. I think Game Stop fits him much better. I wouldn't be surprised if HD isn't on the car ALL the time.

Joey might just surprise you just because he may or may not shop at HD that makes no difference I have seen that boy race 2 different cars and he knows how to get the job done.He lapped the whole field at Rockingham this year in ARCA till some late cautions got only 5 back on the lead lap, after his 3rd time in Nationwide he won.He can keep up this past weekend he blamed only himself for not doing good through the race,he is a gracious young man.He will be able to deal with the media just fine even if he is a bit shy.I for one am impressed with Joey and he will make a fine representive to Gibbs,HD,and the team.I'm not saying anything negative of your opinion.I was just stating mine.don't want to offend

As of late he doesn't seem real pleased with his own team either - negative comments about making the Chase. And I'm not sure he really clicked with Tony and Kyle anyway, but I think he thinks the world of Joe Gibbs.
I don't disagree with you about his opinion of Gibbs. However, thinks were great last year when he was the one getting the attention. I still think he's off to somewhere to be the star. I just don't see him sticking around if Gibbs continues to practically lick Kyle's boots.

I too was hoping HD would go elsewhere! I still hope they will. I'm just not seeing him live up to all the hype. I still remember the Casey Atwood experiment. This kid is too young and if you watch him each week that ego is getting just a little bigger. He's proven nothing...no reason for the ego. He'll fit in just fine with Busch.

How much you wanna bet the 02 Home Depot car will be the best of the Gibbs equipment next week? And the 20 will be struggling all weekend to find some speed.

IMO sponsors want results for the money they are giving these teams and Home Depot is banking on Logano giving them the results. Only time will tell if it will work out accordingly. Wins=Money, that's what it all boils down to.

I agree - but I also think JGR has 3 great drivers - any one capable of winning every race. Denny and Kyle had great finishes last night - I wish I could belief Tony isn't just joy riding out the season.

Denny and Kyle may have issues with each other - but next season I think Joey will be looking at them both (and Zippy) for pointers. I hope they all win poles and races - no "superstar", no jealousy, no frustration between the teams.

But that isn't the way it is! You can tell a marked difference between Denny's attitude this year and last year. I still believe he believes he is the star and should be thought of that way!

I really think Tony is too competitive to just go out there and ride around! I really doubt he likes hearing winless in front of his name. A lot can say things about Tony but I think when it gets to the point her can't race he will retire.
