The A$$CAR clown show is really tanking now. The stands are empty even after the tracks try giving the tickets away. Of course, A$$CAR is now fiddling with the COT again for 2013, to try to make the "racing" better. A$$CAR should fire itself.

The TV crews are required to NOT pan empty seats or empty areas. You noticed the attempt to camouflage empty seats by painting them different colors and in blocks. When those areas get in a shot, the camera is moving fast enough to make it look like someone is there. That's part of the plan to fool the TV audience. It's the old smoke and mirrors game like the TV preachers that use the same audience shots each week.

About the only sporting events that are selling out are college football games. The NFL, NBA, MLB are all way down too.

The professional sports teams have priced themselves out of the common man's pocketbook. A weekend at a Nascar event is no different and with all the cookie cutter sameness of the cars, the restrictor plates, and the hoopla patterned after a WWF show, no wonder people are staying at home.

The camera guys stick to those low-angle shots where you don't see any of the stands. Its really irritating not to see some surrounding background, but they are under orders from the boss to keep the lie alive a little longer. They perfected this in the indy car series a few years ago.

Yesh, A$$CAR tried its best with the low-angle shots to not show the stands from a top view where you can see all the empty seats. Its football season and NO ONE cares about A$$CAR, its just a fact.

Actually NASCAR wants to show the upper seats as that's where the fans are.. the low-angle shots show the empty seats. Racing is the opposite of other arena sports... Fans want to sit in the nose bleed seats so they can see all the way around the track.

I just love how the "media" tries to ignore that the attenance and viewership has simply plummeted. I guess Fat Helton and the Drunen Baby Whale France are gonna need to come up with a few more lame gimmicks?
