The Berawans are peace-loving people like Kenyah and Kayan. But I may not totally agree if someone said Barawan came from the Kenyah tribe. In fact, we the Bakong people could have ancestral ties with the Berawan through the aristocratic couple from Brunei who had grandson by the name of Awang Harun. This grandfather of mine had died, but his great grand children are still living in Kampung Melayu Beluru not far from Miri.
