Hasn't there been a lot of abuse in the past years by mexico and its citizens? I have heard that you have to be a mexican citizen to purchase land there. Also there have been people who have built there and lived for many years and then loose their land and house when someone files a lawsuit claiming that the original "sale" was not valid (sometimes twenty years after the fact).

Besides, mexico doesn't care about any one but their citizens and if you aren't a citizen, you're screwed. On top of that the crime and graft are rampant.
