What a great recommendation! Just what I need to do. At the time of my life when I need more attention to quality medical care, I should move to a 3rd world country with a failing government and an insane, totally corrupt political picture, and a thriving drug world. I should move to a place where the governmental and business leaders come to the US for education and medical care. I wonder why? Could it be that the care here is better? Just where does the author think that all the illegal immigrants are coming from, and why do they come? Why do they leave their families and risk their lives to get here? Because life is so wonderful in Mexico, Salvador, and Nicaragua?

My Mother's Generation are leaving the USA for other countries in their retirements.
Nothing wrong with this and I understand that the USA is in deep economic and political trouble but the Babyboom Generation are at least partially responsible for the downfall of the country.
They brag how great they are well I guess If I received Free Tuition or very cheap Tuition, could buy my first house for $20,000, have affordable Healthcare,The highest wages in the world(now most of western Europe, Canada, Australia,Japan have higher wages and more benefits) Civil Rights that the younger Americans can only dream about now(Correctional System went from 1 million to 8 million since 1980-Prison, Parole, Probation, etc) I too would be Great I guess and could blow smoke up everyone's Buttocks.
The country is now the World's largest debtor nation and most of the manufacturing and many higher services have left the country.
Funny how the folks who rode it up(1933-1981)now leave the mess they helped create for the younger generations x and y to clean up.
Tells you something about many of this so called Great Generation, not all but many of them!
IT also tells you something about even some of the World War 2 Generation.
The Empire has Collapsed, the Economy cannot Compete with Europe or Japan both the largest Creditors and our infrustructure is falling apart. The country can be repaired but it will take most of our lifetimes to do if we start now and the standard of living is already much lower then what the babyboomer and the World War 2 Generation had.

the abandonment of strict immigration, and the loss of segregation ended your grandpa's influence, and responsibility to this country. that's your generation's fault. you wanted blacks and mexicans living with you. now you got it. good luck, so long, and enjoy the race riots. if you want to see your future, look up south africa in the news. it was great while it lasted. you blew it.

Does this mean you're leaving us? Where can the retired go to get some peace and quiet that isn't in Latin America? Blame the tax and spend democrats for our current fiscal situation (and they want us to pay more still).

My friend moved just outside of sao paulo brazil, spent a million on a house surrounded by a wall, and gates. maids there are cheap, and he can pick up on a brazilian hooker who looks like an 18 year old queen of the prom for $75 for the night. trust me, you can get Salma Hayek for pennies on the dollar. he could marry any of them he wants to but why bother? he has boeing stock he's had the last 20 years and lives off the dividends. he highly recommends his choice. he lives like a sultan there.
first rate medical there, by the way. drugs cheap.
America is over. look out for yourself.

you're right. there are places in south america that are better than most of america. world cuisine restaurants, top notch medical, amazing hookers. the women there act more european. none of that "I want to define myself" crap. they define themselves by cooking a kickass breakfast. There's nothing in america you can't get in sao paulo. Not many blacks either! the ones there don't act like blacks in america. they work for a living. raise their kids. save their money. don't get drunk or do crack.
