I've read the article. I've read the comments. The first thing thats strikes about this is that there has been free-market competition here for VWs manufacturing site--and Mexico seems to have won. Good for Mexico. It means more jobs in Mexico and less migration north to the U.S. and may less immigrant bashing by insecure and ignorant Americans. The second thing that about the comments previously posted: WHINERS! Americans moan and groan like 3 year old about how badly the world is treating them: illegal immigration, Al-Quaida, Iraq, the economy, blah, blah, blah. My aren't Americans just all victims of the Big Bad World. Everyone is picking on us. Of course, no one stops to think how the most powerful nation on earth picks on them. We're ALWAYS the "Good Guys," right? Grow up. You live in a global economy and other nations compete with us for those jobs. And since most of your readers would claim they believe in a free marketing economy and capitalism, then they should shut up. But, of course, most are too ignorant of the dynamics of global politics and the global economy to even begin to have a clue as to how it affects local economies. I'm tired of American cry babies that think the world and life owes them a living. The problem is that Americans take the path of least resistance and blame everyone else except themselves for their own predicament. GROW UP!
