I have tried the restaurant and was sorely disappointed. I love the building. It is a wonderful structure. I also love the original restaurant at the Mission Inn. Class has been replaced by Crass. We are all worse off.

I too have been to this new location a couple times now. The menu is overpriced for quality of food and type of service. But being honest, it's Zendejas "standard" faire at a higher end facility and location. These guys did not change their standards when they went out and hired new kitchen staff and servers. They changed to a higher end menu and prices but unfortunately did not move up to a higher end prep, quality, and presentation. I inquired on several dishes and my waitress had no clue having to go and "ask" someone even then advising she was "not sure". That really makes you want to spend good money on something new. I suspect this is her first job as a food server.

I bet by the summmer this new location changes to the traditional Zendejas type menu and prices with the goal of making money on volume of food and alchohol. Which is really par for the course of Rancho resturants. Salsita's & Taco Hut save a seat for me.

To the people who keep saying Salsita's is better....really? Tio's is decent, but salsita's? Come on! Their food is terrible. I've have more flavor from del taco! Salsita's is a Mexican equivalent of a crappy coffee shop.
