Check the Supreme Court decisions from the beginning of our nation. Those under U.S. jurisdiction are entitled to the basic human rights afforded to all. even W's Supremes haven't reversed this basic principle of American jurisprudence. Of course, your desires were majority desires regarding Asians in the 19th century nd re blacks since Independence. Fortunately, in Republic, mob mentality does not call the hop. Tell ya what: I'm part Choctaw and just a touch Tonkawa; f you go back to one of the countries of your genetic heritage, I'll support closing the border to you.
Kindly post the immigration laws that were in effect in 1492. Oh, you can't because there weren't any? That's what I thought. Well, then maybe you can list the jobs or social service programs people came here to steal. Oh, there weren't any of those either? Hmmm! Seems to me as the world changes so do the laws.

Are we not supposed to require a driver's license to drive because there were no cars in the 19th century?

Perhaps we shouldn't have laws promoting safety in food and medicine because in the 14th century food was home grown and there weren't many commercial medicines.

By the way, you better check YOUR history also. American Indians also migrated here from elsewhere. Maybe you better find the countries of your own genetic heritage.

Pando, he/she is either not Native American or a dumb ass youngun. Unfortunately some of our youth spout out just as much vile as La ratza, totally disrespecting our people and our ways. It's good to be proud of who or what you are, but it's even better to be proud to be American.

Sorry pinche but your preaching to the wrong person. I am an enrolled Tribal member, are you? I come from South Dakota and New York. You obviously have not learned much from your ESL classes, especially how to read and comprehend. Again, I will state.....IT IS NOT UP TO THE AMERICAN TAXPAYERS or the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT TO SUPPORT ILLEGALS
Yeah, and do you really want the undocumented to undergo the prejudice, the discrimination

Send ILLEGAL ALIENS back to their homeland. They wouldn't be subject to prejudice or discrimination because they belong there.

I just love it when some fool says illegals are playing by the rules.

I guess in this particular case, this girl is not only here illegally, but driving without a license and speeding too.

And that's playing by the rules?

American children are facing adulthood and.......

......find out that they have to cover the costs of an illegal's college education by paying higher out-of- state tuition. They find out that as an adult they will be paying for the healthcare, schooling, housing, food, legal counsel, and everything else for illegals.

American children are facing adulthood and......

.......if they complain about this slavestate thrust upon them then they are called a racist or a xenophobe and that they should just take the punishment since America has done so much evil and not to mention that it is the American child that is actually the foreign national in the American southwest.

Well, we'll just have to see. He couldn't get the "Dream Act" passed and has conceded it's the wrong time to push forward.

Obama can't make upwards of 50 million ILLEGAL ALIENS legal. He has to have approval of Congress. With the threat of losing their cushy jobs members of Congress are unlikely to vote for the "Dream Act" anytime soon.

You're as off-base on that as I was when I pointed out to a registered tribal member that the behavior urged on illegals was similar to that inflicted on Original Americans and other minorities. But I'm a 60 year old who has been traveling Mexico regularly since 1973 and have had the privilege of living there from time to time. Unlike many posters here, I know Mexico; love it; and love MOST Mexicans, as well. And as well as having some Native American genes, I am also a Great great great grandson of George Mason, author of the Virginia Declaration of Human Rights, used as a blueprint for the Bill of Rights. Again, the Supreme Court has repeatedly held that all under U.S. jurisdiction are entitled to the basic human rights guaranteed by the Constitution as long as they remain under our jurisdiction.
So blame my opinions on education, intelligence, and principles, not youth.

So you want to go that route....well, laws are laws and being a direct decendant of George Mason, you should rightfully be disgusted as to the violation of intrepretation of our constitution. There is no such thing as a legal undocumented immigrant, the correct terminology is ILLEGAL ALIEN. Americans are not responsible for the world's poor, and far too long we have had to pay for their housing, medical, dental, vision, food, education. With America's economy going the way it is, enough is enough. As far as the Reservations, many down here in the Southern part of the State have had nothing but problems with illegals building their "trash bag" tent cities in the outermost regions of our Reservation. It has gotten to the point that the Tribal members have to deal with it.

Just curious, how do they deal with it?(illegals and their "trash bag" tent cties)

Well, first of all, they don't go right down there and "take care of business". Being Federal land, the Feds have to be notified, and as usual they rarely will even acknowledge our requests to remove these cacaroaches. Unfortunately, sometimes the young ones will go into the camps and destroy them, and at times will start fights with the illegals. Being that we have lost a couple of young men to illegal aliens, it has basically started a "war". Usually when they are discovered, someone will contact the Tribal Administrator or Chair, and they will contact the Border patrol. Meanwhile, the individuals in the camp are monitored by surrounding Tribal members until the Border Patrol can get there. Once they are taken away, the camps are thoroughly destroyed, everything burned.

Interesting...I hope the "younger" ones understand that some of these squatters might be carrying weapons and could be potentially dangerous. I imagine the burning is done for health reasons...and as usual the Feds drag their feet.

They know, but it is difficult to control them when their own parents won't. Since the death of 2 of our young Tribal members, yes, involved drugs, brought in by guess who? The illegals trying to get "in" with the kids. Of course, not reported in the papers other than a small article here and there, can't let people know what is happening in their own backyards, or God forbid, shed a "bad" light on the illegals. We have many counselors, Elders, trying to work with the kids for many reasons, hopefully they will start listening.

Being "undocumented" by its' very nature involves discrimination.

Why is the national conversation about the "undocumented" and not about Americans - since after all - this is America.

No one even gave a damn about that border until they found out they were financing the lives of those crossing it and when Americans were told they don't have the right to defend their ranches from invasion without having to pay for the "pain and suffering" of the invaders.

It is illogical to demand that people work against their own interests and the people attempting to convince Americans to do this very thing are ridiculous to do so.

That's why they need to have better enforcment along the Southern border. If we can get our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, they could be better used down there. Assign them to Border Patrol agents and arm them all to the teeth. Also we have survelliance Aircraft we can use as well. A multi-pronged approach would work best in border security. It's up to our gov't on what to do w/ the illegal immigrants in our country now but we can do a better job now trying to keep more out. Remember, coyotes can smuggle terrorist cells in too, their money pays the same as well...
