It's often young children and teenagers smuggled in for child porn and prostitution rings. This was a good apprehension of the 3. The two co-defendants probably cut a plea deal of sorts to have gotten a lesser sentencing.

Ten years isn't enough. Maybe 10 years per person smuggled in for exploitation would have been better.

As usual, the story doesn't tell the entire story. So what happened to the girls? Will they be given a free pass, Because now it seems all an illegal has to do is get a hangnail to qualify for a free pass. Further, what was the status of the pimps?

This article must have posted late on Topix because I didn't see it on the options for reading yesterday. You know first hand about those being smuggled in. The reality is that often times these kids are abducted for the sole purpose of being exploited, much like in oriental countries. Children are either abducted or sold into servitude. It's a sad situation. One thing is gratifying is when these children are reunited with their families, who feared their child was dead. It is only the beginning of the healing process for these children, but the damage is often so severe that many of these children end up committing suicide because they can't deal with the shame or they end up on drugs and right back into the seedy life. There are a few who overcome the nightmare which they were forced into.

As for the lax sentencing, I agree that it should have been much harsher. Hopefully they don't just deport their asses; otherwise, they'll be preying on other young children and teens.

I'd COMPASSIONATELY remove them to the border and let Mexico handle their problem. We handled ours, well, poorly but...

Stories like this just make me sick to think what those poor young girls have had to endure thinking they were coming here to have a good life.

But I agree with CornDogz that they need to be sent home and let Mexico deal with their own problems.

Just like the US, until Mexico admits they have problems and start addressing it, NOTHING will get better for the citizens of either country. Denial is not a river in Eqypt and making like an ostrich burying ones head in the sand will not make the problem go away.

The victims in these cases, especially minors, are typically returned to their families in their country of origin. Their parents are the only ones who have the legal authority to make decisions for these children and the courts & in many cases they were abducted.

Kidnapping is a way of life in Mexico and some are sold by their Family. Sad But True. DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

Agreed, which is what I indicated on #4. Those that are rescued and returned to their family, are usually the ones who end up drug addicted and back in that seedy life. I also agree that all illegal aliens should be deported...to include Obama's aunt. ;-)

Its time to start billing Mexico for the incarceration of their people.

Don't forget to do the same for her kids' educations, k-12, their free school meals, their foodstamps, WIV+C, welfare, Medicaid and section 8 housing a well. Also, when Is this country going to start imposing a hefty tax on the remittances illegals send out of this country? We keep getting taxed more to pay for their American-born, among other things, yet illegals can wire money home without paying a dime in taxes on that money...we're talking billions each year.

Oh, yeah, you'll be SO much safer if the children are uneducated and the families hungry and homeless. As long as the Tysons and the Bo Pilgrims and the construction tycoon need cheap labor, they will bribe our scummy political hacks to make sure neither reform nor large scale deportations take place and we'll be paying 40 k each per year to keep the uneducated ones incarcerated.
And if you believe what the hacks tell you about wanting to deportment - well, I'be got beachfront property in Nebraska you might want to buy, too.

The last time I checked, their graduation stats are still abysmal...it seems that many of them don't put any stock in education.

Why not change the problem, instead of continuing to beat the Victims? I know, that would be so un la-racist of you. Why change the shit hole of Mexico when you can just beg and whine here?
Drop babies like bunnies and condemn those that feed you. Ingrate sounds about right here.
They are uneducated and therefore in jail you say. Good luck with this smoke and mirror routine, Rico
I have some land in Mexico I will give you if you go live there forever and leave your job at LaRaza, along with your computer. Could think of some more freebies to throw in if you sterilize you and yours.

Hmm, how about it pendajo, what is your price? Another low rider perhaps? Gift card to walmart and free organic veggies? All thrown in on your departure. Arriva Chicken shit!!

This kind of activity should garner a life a hard labor sentence.
