Interesting to see the back and forth. It might be helpful for Hombre (certainly an interesting choice for an online name) to spell Raymundo's online name correctly rather than mockingly misspelling it.
I hope that, in reality, that Hombre is really just pulling all our collective legs by throwing chum upon the waters. However, I fear that he is not joking and that he sincerely believes the things he says. As Raymundo says, "Your kind had their shot with Bush and you lost, big time." This is true, but they will not go quietly. Bush and his ilk cannot admit any mistakes and will steadfastly hold on to obviously failed and rejected objectives.

For the unenlightened, 1000 books of 1000 pages each would be insufficient. For the enlightened, one word is too many.

This is a forum on Oaxaca. I will return there to see friends and family this weeks. They say there is an eerie calm there now. And they promise that La Noche del Rabanos should be the best in years.

Time for cooler heads and the return of the tourists to a beautiful and important.

Hombre, have you read "1491" by Charles Mann? It is a facinating book.

Left out a word or two. Should have read,"Time for cooler heads and the return of the tourists to a beautiful and important city and state."

I don't want to lose any points on the Hombre grading scale for misspellings or inaccuracies.

Y Hombre, "Mackerel" is spelled thusly. Keep smiling.

Hey thanks guys!

Ray-Mundo...I really don't have time today to play, besides we don't agree on anything.....OK....I'll say a couple of things: 1.) you'll need to quote me on the 'hell and brimstone' thing, because I never used those words. I did however, challenge you on a number of points, none of which you have answered. Just more of your theories, without study, basis, merit, or historical precedence to prove them. 2.) Go ahead, blow the trumpet, sound the alarm, wave the banner for legalising marijuana and prostitution. You've labeled yourself as a liberal goofball. 3.) I see no rage in my attempts to humor you, and furthermore, you have no sense of humor. If anyone is chained to their belief system in an unhealthy way, it is definitely you. What you consider to be open-minded, is really quite close minded, opinionated and narrow mindedness, that breeds but one solution to moral problems: simply legalize whatever, and then the world will be happy.
Talk about simplistic; that is sooooo overwhelmingly innane and juvenile.
You are a young person, no doubt, clinging fanatically to what you perceived to be 'revolutionary' ideas you learned a few years ago. A few more years, like maybe 20 or 30, and we'll be able to converse on an adult level. Until then...adios.

Jose...hey, thanks for the benefit of the doubt, although your fears are consumated by the fact that I absolutely do believe what I say here, or I wouldn't waste my time saying it. You are a far more thoughtful person than Ray-Mundo, and I have to say 'touche' on the spelling of 'Mackerel'; however, I have no idea whatsoever, WHY someones''arguments' should be less valid or compelling, due to their belief that homosexuality is a perversion and unnatural, and has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with race or creed. By the way....in your opinion...is having sex with farm animals OK?....I mean, people who do that seem to like it, and furthermore, they aren't bothering me personally, so why shouldn't a man be able to marry his goat if he wants to?

I think everyone should stop answering you. I know I will. You are a pathetic, hate filled loser who projects his self hatred and insane fantasies upon others. You couldn't handle living in New York, the safest big city in America according to the Justice Department, where gays, Muslims, and everyone else are free from the hateful moronic scorn that that spews from your mouth. For members of the community, know that sarcasm, narrow mindedness and and bigotry all stem from self hatred. Get a life pequeno hombre, I am sure you named yourself Hombre because you feel just the opposite. I bet your still a virgin, or have so many perversions that you try to block out your shame by hating everyone else. There's a NY expression, "You're Backed Up."
So long little man. I am glad I exposed you for the bigot you are. Americans need to fear people like you more than Muslims.

Whew! Hope that's the last we hear of Hombre!(Bet that's too much to hope for!)
Thanks, everyone else, for your discussions of what's going on in Oaxaca. Sadly, I won't be going there for my usual couple of months this year. Just doesn't seem prudent.

Oh yes....Hooray!!!... the guy who thinks homosexuality is unnatural is gone.....
Sorry, but I will be continuing to report MY observations, candor and witicisms in this forum; and as Rush Limbaugh and my favorite co-host Walter Williams ( a prominent BLACK conservative ) like to say:......' push back the frontiers of ignorance'. Back to the topic at hand: Oaxaca.

No, and I don't plan to. I understand the ideas that are being set forth, and frankly, though I have a lot of respect for 'pre-columbian' civilizations, I hardly think they were on the right track with human sacrifice to low fired gods of clay. The people there were in slavery to their own kings before Cortez ever stepped foot on their land, and it continues to this day. BTW....one of my majors was cultural anthropology, and I am very well read on pre-columbian, meso-american civilizations. Here's my book suggestion for you: Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy by Peter Schweizer.......... Highly interesting.

Hey Joan, thanks for the compliment. Why aren't you going to Oaxaca this year? Your liberal buddies are backing APPO down there. You really ought to go down and show them your support.

Hey, BTW, can I hang out at your place on my next visit to NYC?...or will you be too busy rolling joints for prostitutes on the gay/lesbian parade route?......oh, yes, almost forgot: thanks once again for the lovely compliments.
