Aside from locals being frightened and harmed, this is a great article. Maybe we should get all the armed cartels together in a flat secluded area and say, "Alright, go for it."

Actually, we have dumps named Memphis, TN, New Orleans, LA and several others who could use some assistance first. There would be even more violence there if the locals weren't so LAZY.

Mexico has a multiplicity of profound social problems. They lack in economic development, education, infrastructure and health care. Corruption is rampant and criminals operate with impunity. Mostly though, it is a failed state because it is full of Mexicans.

Actually we're supporting more of their welfare state than we can really afford now. What we really need to do is secure our border and dump their trash back on their side of the fence and let them settle their own problems.

So you're saying that the failed policies of socialism/marxism that are destroying the country of Mexico might not be such a great idea for the liberal loons and Obama to be trying here in our country? LMFAO!

I'm no fan of our government's practices either, but we were smart enough to set-up our law enforcement a lot better.

Our law enforcement is on the edge of failure much like Mexico's largely due to the same liberal politically correct BS. Our country is being overtaken by the criminal element, many of them the very illegals that are destroying Mexico. But from that marxist tool Eric Holder on down more is handcuffing our law enforcement than encouraging it to protect America.

Set a volunteer armed services for this, not a draft, see how many numbers we get to sign up, if enough interest, then go down there and wage a war on the cartels and kill em all, if no interest oh well

I'm not sure we're on the edge of failure, but the PC stuff, which keeps law enforcement from using any "unnecessary force" beyond talking sweetly for hours on end, is encouraging wrong-doers to keep up their work. Law enforcement needs to do an internal sweep, then do the same externally. Here, as well as Mexico.

28 dead in a gunbattle? You have to admit that Mexican gunslingers put to shame the John Wesley Hardins and other gunfighters and violence that some idiotic people like to promote to tourists in El Paso.

That's exactly the horse- ish I'm talking about!!! What a load of bull! Great link, great example. Those poor crybaby drivers put the cops on the spot because they can't take responsibility for their actions and they want to point the finger and something they think is worse than their deeds. Soft, Seattle tree-huggers.

I agree. Get ready for the next wave. Any moment now, our great senator rodriguez will want to bring those people to El Paso and give them amnesty. This in turn will create a financial burden to our tax payers. We can no longer absorb the number of illegals running to our country. We are absorbing people that require education and financial assistance. Meanwhile, USA citizens are not easily given the assistance illegal mexicans are given. But nobody is to blame but the USA for cow towing to mexican president calderon. In light of the mexican ingress, it is time to repeal the manifesto entitlement to begin recovering tax payer expenses. The mexicans will continue to shop in Texas anyway.
