Violence keeps Mexican families from traveling home

MAYRA BELTRA N : CHRONICLE STAYING HERE: Martin Salgado, wife Bettina Salgado, and daughters Priscilla, 12, and Jennifer, 8, will be spending their Christmas in Houston instead of making the trip to Mexico.

Some families are going home for the first time in 5 years.
Many will not go back until Mexico is the place they left 10 or more years ago.
