If Calderon wants to stop weapons from entering into Mexico, he should beef up Mexico's Border Patrol and Customs enforcement instead of blaming the U.S. for his problems.

U.S. Citizen's message to Calderon "Stop send your felons to our country! We have enough of our own. Keep your nose in Mexico and use our taxpayer-funded foreign aid to help your people! If we wanted to adopt a family from Mexico we would!"

That is as easy as saying to Mexico: No more illegals and no more drugs!

The narcos have so much money they can buy weapons from anywhere in the world. The USA is just closer. If we could put a clamp on it they would still come from some other sources.

In actuality they need to arm the people of Mexico. People should be able to apply and those qualified should be able to attain weapons equal to the drug dealers, extortionists, and kidnappers to defend themselves.

Mexico is loosing it's good people to the lowlifes. The one's that have worked hard and done it legally are being extorted, kidnapped and killed. Yet Mexico does nothing about it. The crimminals have guns and they know the law abiding citizens do not. They are sitting ducks.

Here is an example.

In Monterrey one day a group of armed men entered an upscale restaurant with just over 100 people in it. They separated the men from the women. Then in front of their husbands, boyfriends, etc made the woman disrobe and the raped more then half of the women and young girls.

They said it would not do any good to complain because they were being protected by the authorities. Sure enough when the authorities arrived they walked right pass them and went on their merry way.

If a good portion of the men in the restaurant carried weapons this may not of happened. Maybe some innocents might have gotten killed, but it would help to be a future deterent if they had done something. I would rather die trying then let the crimminals rape my wife, and have let the police do nothing to help my family.

It said in the article that many of the women had blood soaked panties as they were raped so violently.

Of the many times I've driven across the border into Mexico I've never been stopped and searched by Mexican customs officials. Yet on the way back to the US from the interior of Mexico I've been searched numerous times (for drugs). Especially true when driving the Baja peninsula.

One solution President Calderon - enforce "your" northern border the same way you do your southern border. Yeah, search the Gringos driving in and conduct spot searches of those walking in that are carrying bags or other large items. Might want to set up some observers near the border fences too; lots of things are tossed over the fence.

Thanks for the posts, Concerned and its just sickening to hear that to show their might and power they would behave like damned animals and rape the women and girls. I'm afraid there is probably no turning around for Mexico for the better anymore it is too far gone. What in the world is it going to take? perhaps another president and the right of the people to buy arms for self protection as you say. What if anything did Calderon do about this he must've known? I feel for those men and women and girls and what they have been put through and who knows how many other incidents such as this have taken place through out Mexico. And the cartels don't want any news reported because it gives them and Mexico a bad image! WOW!!

I used to think and say the same, cause it infuriates us to hear all that is happenning but what about the dear innocent people that just want to earn a living, working their farms and live a peaceful life in their beautiful country? You find good, beautiful people (the majority) that just want to be left alone to live their lives as they please without thugs threatening or extorting them. I use to say nuke Mexico, that was so ignorant and stupid of me. My appologies. And I hope to God and believe it or not (THERE IS A GOD) who miraculously will bring about the right person to run Mexico in the next election. This can't continue like this any longer.

Arming the people of Mexico would only have them turn more guns on US citizens; DUH, dumb idea

I am talking about good citizens here. Business owners and people that would use them in self defense. They would need to apply and have bullets shot and kept for ballistics tests on the more powerful weapons. Something needs to be done. We do that here in the USA to have a concealed weapons permit. They are not going out of their way here to turn the guns on US citizens here.

Do you not think there are good people here in Mexico that can be trusted with a gun to protect themselves. If not you are a poor judge of people to be honest. The ones I am talking about would not even stoop down to saying things like DUH, dumb idea. I am talking about intelligent, mature and rational people.

The crimminals that want to have the guns to commit crimes already have them. Give the non crimminals a chance to protect themselves legally.

Look up and see how many US citizens have been killed by guns in Mexico. It will surprise how low the numbers are. So the good people will not go out of there way to kill Americans if the bad ones are not doing it in big numbers now.

Good Mexican people need to protect themselves against bad Mexican people here. Just like good American people need to protect themselves against bad American people in the USA.

Calderon's always the first out to blame America for his failure. Where's the Mexican Military and why aren't they manning the MX side of the border?

Why we NEED Ron Paul in the White House. First thing he'll do is secure the borders.
