Wrong, the title should read family suffering consequences of their law breaking.
Had the illegal alien simply returned home and tried to return legally all this suffering now on the family would have been avoided.
Nobody to blame for the results of a crime but the criminal themself.

In a nation built by immigrants, they thought they could pursue their American Dream - with loved ones at their side. Instead, they're living an American nightmare that's tearing families apart and forcing Americans into exile.

Did anyone tell them we don't give a f$$###k!

They made these decisions, knowing full well the consequences, and now they come whining? They ALWAYS have the option of going and staying with their loved ones.

Oh, yeah, I forgot, silly me! The welfare and perks are too good in US!!! Oh, and they are entitled to them.

If these freeloaders had stayed in their own country or come here legally, there's be no problem.
Hell with them

It says 1996. Wasn't that the year they let you sign up as an illegal to become a citizen? So what happened? You too stupid and lazy to get your handout?
Nice article to try and pull on our heart strings and make us go boo hoo for these illegals. Guess what, I don't care! You silly people have made your own bed, now lie in it.

'Across the country, as illegal immigrants have settled into communities, they have met Americans, fallen in love, married and had children. But when Americans have voluntarily stepped up to sponsor their spouses for legal residency, believing this was the right thing to do, they've been shocked to discover their citizenship does not trump mandatory penalties the spouses must face. Far from it.'

Who is shocked? Stupid people? Report, deport.

Families are torn apart because they break the law and refuse to return to their home countries, together.
