I hope that someone here can help me. When I was in thailand two weeks ago i heard a record with a girl singin bob marley covers. The sound and arrangment was a bit diffrent but and it was mostly the known marley songs i herad. I asked the DJ and he showed me a homemade CD wich had the text "Bob Maley" on. Nedless to say he didn´t speak English at all :) Can anybody please tell me wish artist it migt be ?

Best regards //

Hi Pat, I heard the same singer on our trip to Jamaica. The DJ at the bar also said it was a homemade CD given to them by a British tourist. She said the artists name was Bossanne (sp?) Marley, but I searched everywhere online and couldn't find anything. The songs were quite different (kind of like Sade meets Marley, breathy vocals). I really liked it, so I will keep looking and let you know if I find out who the artist is.

My wife found it (she has better google skills than me):

It was a downtempo compilation CD called "Bossa 'n Marley" not a single artist named Bossanne! They also do "Bossa 'n Stones" and other artists.

OMG! I am in Japan and I heard the same girl singing Marley covers and it was so relaxing. I asked and they said they were given the CD and didn't know. Some coffee house in Asakusa, thank you for the info! I thought I'd never find out!

LOL It is so weird that many of us heard this girl but never were able to find out who it was. I was in Roatan, Honduras with my boyfriend last March and we heard it at an Italian resort. We tried to find out who it was but the DJ didn't know, he only had the CD. Thanks so much for the info!
