I have advice! Don't enter the southern rap genre if you plan to be a great rapper.

I was actually making fun of rap and all of it's followers. I am personally into real music, but as they say, to each his own. If you want to listen to someone talk about s e x while an extremely annoying repetitive beat is drumming monotonously in the background then do as you please.
One question: Do you guys really talk like that...all the time? All the "foe shizzle ma nizzle stuff"?
Oh, and I am proud of my whiteness, thank you very much.

maybe i am too old but the use of "great" and "rapper" in the same sentence is a bit of an oxymoron to me.

First you have to study the greats!
Andre 3000(Southern rapper)
Scarface(Another Southern rapper)
Prodigy of Mobb Deep
Listen to these cats too!:
But it is not all about image!
The lyrics are the most important aspect of rap/Hip-hop.
Great punchlines, metaphorsd, subject matter is the template for crafting great lyrics!

Well, Some Of Yall Or Wrong, but Yet Right.
Hip Hop is All About Lyrics... And Stylesz..
Well, You Could Have the BEST Rhymesz in the world.. But yet, you don't know How to flow..
And Most Rappers Don't even write their own rhymes.
Me, personally.. My Favorite Rapper is Q-Tip
If Yall Know..
Then Second is Gang Starr and Talib Kweli..
Hip Hop is orginally made and started in New York.. If Yall Really Knew Ya History...
Rap Today is so fucking weak...
It's like any body could be one
I'm A Poet/Rapper..
I focuse more on Old School Shit.. Ya Know..

If there is a way to contact you, I been rappin for many years now, and it looks like its about to pay off (decent record deals lookin this way) I wrote a story called "How To Be An Emcee". There is a fine difference between a rapper and a Emcee. a Rapper is just a person who can spit some lines, a Emcee is a person who is above and beyond...
I also give hip hop word games, ideas how to improve your vocab, metaphors, way of thinkin and so on... hit me up sometime at CityShallCry@aol.com

all i can say is dont try to rap like the newer rappers like chamillionair or akon cuz it sells but its not real rap. u need to stay old school like 2pac ice cube, dr. dre and some of the dmx songs.

its amazing when i write these bars,
its incredable to y'all how i can come this hard,
intergallatical fantasic magical flows from mars,
blowing apart the atmosphere and starting a new star wars/
yo to be honest i don't think the world is ready,
this is the eve of war are you holding your blade steady?/
humans transforming like a mutated seragetti,
this is the eve of war are you still holding your blade steady?/
ready, here we go lets blow keep it under control,
flow, keep going no need to slow down our roll,
hold, your momentum man na never let it go,
so, is everyone ready once again here we go/
lets attack and bring back soldiers from iraq,
crack, is we never gonna back down and rest jack,
fact, is are minds will never relax until payback,
hack, the thoughts of bush till his minds fecked/
never let your mind slip man stay positive,
cause this is a war man the whole worlds a target,
everyone from the four corners is involved in it,
we going all out man lets go revolve in it.
read dat shit and holla at me
